I decided to make a home for my merfolk. I liked the outcome so much I'm uploading it. No cc or sims included. I kept the furnishing maxis only for this but will be re decorating at some point. 
You may need to raise the house up to decorate it (floor elevation cheat) as adding items under water may prove very difficult unless you can get that perfect angle. Also, sims hair styles change, but thats a cosmetic thing that repairs itselft once they comeup for air,
I've also left an area with nothing to the the right of the house, so you can have fun adding a garden of your choice.
