Well, it took a while but here it is. An underwater castle. I remember getting a request for it a while back, but only got around to working on it recently.
It looks nice both day and night. I stuck a few lights here and there.
It is fully furnished. At first I wanted to make a fully medieval castle but it proved useless. I would of had to use mostly cc, and since I don't have all the correct links for credits, I scrapped that idea and went all Maxis.
So we have here a modernized medieval castle.
It has two stories (see screenshots) The second is only halfway under. This allows for hassle free customizing of that floor. The lower level has a kitchen, large dining area, and of course, the throne room.
The only problem I could find when testing it, is winter.
The lake does freeze. Now, the second level is playable in winter it just looks really silly. The bottom level is completely unusuable.
I'd recommend having the weather changer close by if you keep winter as a season. I would reccommed, however, placing this lot in a hot vacation place. Somewhere in the vacinity of a ghostly pirate. Merfolk and Pirates do go together.
But, if you like winter, it does have visual appeal. (Again, see screenshots.)
Just stay to the upper level (better add a fridge and stove)
Note: I also have the teen stuff pack. It wasn't availabe to select on the needed packs page, and I'm pretty sure I used at least one item from it.
2nd note: It's fully fishable (Is that even a word?)
Extra notes: It's fairly large, so it will probably lag a bit on slower comps. And, don't get alarmed if your sims hairstyle changes underwater. It's natural, and will come back to normal when they surface.
Lot Size: 4x4
Lot Price: $123579
Additional Credits:
Although I managed to do this without a tutorial in front of me I'm still going to give credit to Littlelamb from TSR. If I hadn't came across this I would never have thought of doing these types of lots.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.
