Deep in the forest, there lived a widowed old lady, who was loved dearly by her only grand-daughter, Little Red Riding Hood (named because of the hooded cape she was always seen wearing).

Her cottage was situated in a clearing, by a babbling brook, deep in the forest.

Even though Grandma lived alone, she was very resourceful, with her little garden in the rear of the cottage.

It was a stone built property, built on one story, due to Grandma's failing health.
