Cheap doesn't have to be trashy: 3 Smoogo Minima recolors

Pretty much all the sims in my modern 'hoods own a Smoogo Minima at some point in their lifetime. The lack of cheap but still classy default options has always bothered my broke-but-classy sims. Not all cheap cars have to be rusty or super tacky - a properly-maintained Cheapmobile can be downright spiffy! Here are some "gently used" recolors my Sims have enjoyed driving around town.



The responsible simmies who owned these cars have taken care to polish the handles and touch up the bumpers - and they've kept the cars nice and shiny too! Three well-kept colors are available in the file below: Sensible Navy, Emerald Green, and Metallic Maroon. All are ready for the road with up-to-date license plates.



As a special bonus, a set of clean (non-rusty) hubcaps is also included. These can be used to perk up the appearance of any Smoogo Minima. They're in a separate package so you can use them without my car recolors if you prefer.

As requested, these cars are now available in TWO flavors! Both rar files contain the same three exterior colors + bonus hubcap recolor, the only difference between the two choices are the interiors.

-CheapClassyCars.rar uses the original Maxis interiors shown in the screenshots above. The benefit of this set is that the components can be freely paired with the original Maxis bits with no oddness. However, the basic Maxis interiors are a wee bit trashy for some of the prouder Sims. If being able to stick clean hubcaps on existing Maxis Smoogos is the most exciting part of this upload for you, download "CheapClassyCars.rar"

-CheapClassyCars-DarkInterior.rar uses a darker and cleaner interior, shown below. There's nothing like well-vacuumed upholstery to give your Smoogos a little oomph! However, due to the way the mesh pulls the textures from BOTH parts of the recolor, the files in this set look much better paired with each other than mixed with Maxis/other recolors. For example, using the clean hubcaps from this set with an original Maxis Smoogo exterior would make the interior of the car have two different textures. If the spiffier interior on these three recolors makes you happier than the ability to stick clean hubcaps on the original Maxis Smoogos then download "CheapClassyCars-DarkInterior.rar"

-You *can* have both flavors in your game at the same time without Things Going Boom if desired - they do not overwrite each other.
