This is an office chair made to match the Luxiary King Armchair from the base-game. It is cloned from the Bon Appetit Dining Chair, with only the base-game installed, and tested with only the base game installed. It was also tested on an alternate machine with all EPs installed up to and including Apartment Life. It should work with any combination of EPs.

The mesh is a retooled version of the Luxiary King Armchair's mesh, with arms removed/reduced to wings and the mesh adjusted to work better with dining chair animations. The mesh uses the Maxis textures from the matching armchair. To recolor this item, simply create a recolor for the Maxis Luxiary King Armchair.

This item will appear in the catalog under function>seating>dining, and under room>study>seating, with a price of 1000 Simoleons. It has a comfort rating of 7 and a room score of 2, as per the original cloned item. It is available on both residential and community lots.

Terms of Use:
Because this borrows textures from a Maxis object, recolor that Maxis object to your heart's content. Feel free to use this mesh in any lot uploaded to MTS2, or any other free for download site, with credit where possible. Please do not clone or modify without consent from me.

Things to watch for:
Most office/dining chairs tend to be on the small side as compared to armchairs. I've reshaped this mesh to fit within the shape of a dining chair, but an overstuffed chair can only be so small. On some animations, the Sim's hand may pass through the mesh a bit, but no more than on some of the Maxis chairs:

Also, because this links to Maxis textures, and because the mesh has been reshaped, UV Mapping was a balance between maintaining the Maxis shading, and keeping the texture nice and smooth. There is very little texture stretching, but close inspection will reveal that the area where the wings join the seat cushion is not as smooth as the rest.

Polygon Counts:
This mesh is listed in SimPE as containing the following:

groundshadow (FaceCount=2, VertexCount=4)
chairpatterns (FaceCount=1544, VertexCount=1043)

This compares reasonably with the Luxiary King Armchair, to which I've added 78 faces and 53 verts to smooth the curves of the wings.

Additional Credits:
This object was made using SimPE. The mesh was altered in 3DS Max 9. UV mapping was also done in 3DS Max. Thanks the creators of those tools/programs, and thanks to all the creators who are kind enough to post tutorials, especially IgnorantBliss for the tutorial on linking to Maxis textures ( tutorial ).
