American Way™ is my series of typical american houses (colonial style, country style etc). Cause my Sims should live real I use real houseplans.



This house facts:
Special Features
One story duplex home looking like a family home. Each entry has a lovely porch. Foyer provided for each residence. Attractive kitchen in the bigger residence, including a central island.
Plan Description
Big residence: Foyer, kitchen with island cooktop, dining room/living room, two bedrooms and a bathroom. Small residence: Foyer, living room, kitchen/dinette, bedroom, bathroom and laundry space.

Furnishing: Only EA/Maxis content

Style: traditional american

Please notice:
Renting Furnished:
It's REALLY annoying to fully furnish an apartment, then go to move your sims in and discover everything has disappeared! However, there is a cheat for it.
Before you rent the apartment:
- CTRL-SHIFT-C to bring up the cheat box.
- Enter the following cheat: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true
- Walk your sim to the front door of the apartment that you want to rent. They need to be standing right in front of the door.
- Clear any actions from your sim's queue - including other sims trying to talk to them.
- SHIFT-click on the door of the apartment you wish to rent and choose "Rent Furnished."
- If the action falls out of your queue, your sim probably needs to be closer to the door.
- Once the apartment is rented, bring up the cheat box again.
- Enter: boolProp testingCheatsEnabled false to turn the cheat off again.

The Driveway:
Moved in familys can't use it. But you can place cars there before moving in with a family. The cars won't appear while playing on this lot, but they will still appear in the neighborhood view. 4th Oct 2008: With the new AL patch the driveway should work correct!
