Sunset Beach Club *UPDATED 14.11.10*

I was looking through some old Simsville concepts, when I found this lovelly tiki style bar I though would look lovelly in my Sunset Valley area.

So I tried to make a close adaptation, with some creative changes to make the lot more entertaining.

I have revamped this lot for the new Late Night EP. Apart from adding a new bar, stage and dancefloor, I also redone the skylight to make it curve and more close to the original design. I still have the old version availiable, so pick whichever you like best!

I tried building this lot as much CC free as possible.
So far, the only custom content you see here are:

- International Windows - Counterheight
by HugeLunatic at MTS.
I'm glad I was not stuck with Maxis ugly windows, a big thanks for that You will need to download them for the windows to appear like in the screenshots.

- Pink Flamingo Neon Light is from the Sims 3 official store, but is a free download if you wish to use it in your game.

- Tiki Umbrella is also from the Sims 3 store, and unfortunatelly paid content. But you don't really need them for the lot to work.


Lot overview: 2 bathrooms (male and female), bar, lounge, games and pool area (also has a barbecue in case your sim gets hungry).

As you can see, the skylight makes the place very bright and sunny during the day. And at night, I've tried setting some mood lightning for a cozy and relaxing ambient.

If there is one thing I miss the most about Sims 2 is the nightclubs from Nightlife
I wish EA would release an expansion set with DJs and dancefloors and that kind of content. In the meantime, I want my party lovers sims to have nice places to have fun and relax for a bit. I don't see many in the community so far, so I share this one in the hopes more will come.

Other notes:
I couldn't figure out how to make a round shapped skylight using the Sims 3 tools, even messed around with the constrain floor cheat for several hours and searched for tutorials. This frustrated me to no end, so if any more experienced builders out there have suggestions on how to accomplish this, leave me a comment. I'd be glad to try it out.
