~ NuRey v 3.1 ~ Lite ~

I wanted to retexture a new hairstyle with some fresh recolours so I was happy to see a nice new freebie from Peggysims. I thought this hairstyle was very cute, but almost too cute for adults - until I re-edited the headband, using black for all the colours except the black hair colours, for those I used a red headband. I'm pleased with the result and I think the hair now looks more mature and works for any age. It looked simple but was rather tricky to get right, so thanks to Peggysims for the new sims 2 hair, I hope to see heaps more new stuff coming soon.

WARNING: Due to a recent format and a decision not to use windows update for some time, I was unable to check the polygon count of this hair mesh in SimPE (need some directx manager thing that won't work without updates). My apologies if this hair is higher than 9000 polygons. Please, if your computer is running the base game on low specs exercise caution with downloading this mesh file in case this hair is a high poly one.



I've been wanting to introduce some more natural, less colour-intensive textures to my NuRey series so I'm glad I have the opportunity to share my new creations. I decided to re-work my NuRey v4 bejewelled recolours, making them smoother, more naturally highlighted and closer to natural shades. So far I have made 12 recolours and I've decided to name it NuRey v3.1 because although I'm re-working the bejewelled colour set, the textures are inspired by by both of my NuRey sets.

Black - Opal, Obsidian, Bloodstone

Brown - Agate, Axinite, Jasper

Blonde - Gold, Bronze, Platinum

Red - Ruby, Garnet, Citrine


Thanks so much to CatOfEvilGenius for creating the new hair binning tool I have used to bin all of these recolours. All the recolours in this set are colour binned/familied for your female sims of all ages with greys binned/familied and linked to the blondes.

PLEASE NOTE: These recolours have again been decustomized. You will find them (without the little star on the thumbnails) in your maxis base game colour areas, not at the beginning of your colour bins with all of your usual custom binned colours.

All recolours are base-game compatible, no EPs required.
