I want to give more people an opportunity to install this lot so I've gone back and removed all store content and edited the lot to use less expansion packs. I also noticed an extremely annoying habit of my horses (and now zombies) wandering into the old apple orchard and ruining the trees. To fix this I initially tried adding a fence around the orchard but I didn't find it ascetically pleasing. In the long run I decided to remove the orchard and instead add a couple more animal pens. I also updated the outside of the farm house a bit and removed all the insect/fishing spawners I had previously included.

Although it's not included I recommend placing the Fowl and Feathers Chicken Coop from the Sims 3 store on the lot.
