This is a simple chew bone that also raises your dog's hunger motive. It can act as an alternative to pet bowls, as it never needs to be refilled and won't get broken down to scraps. It is a standalone object with its own GUID, so it will not alter the behavior of the original dog bone.
It also helps for those pets that somehow develop the inability to eat from a pet bowl, due to some glitch or error. This can be seen in the "Comparison" image provided: even with "boolprop controlpets on" set, the interaction isn't available to eat. With this Chew Treat, you can avoid starving your pet when it isn't your fault.
It can be found in the Misc>Pets category ("Chew Treat" for $55) and there aren't any incompatibilities that I'm aware of. It has a recolorable subset and, obviously, it requires The Sims 2 Pets.

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

About Me
I've been playing the Sims since it first came out, and while I enjoy 1-4, the one I keep coming back to is the Sims 2.
I like to make households with a lot of free-will, so you may notice that a lot of the downloads I have available focus on "motive management." I also like to add gameplay elements like hunting or sparring to learn skills. As for lots, I've been inspired to make realistic, historical, or detailed homages to locations using no CC, so that people can enjoy the lots without extra custom content.
I love that people still make custom content for the Sims 2 today! I fully anticipate playing the Sims 2 when I'm grey and living in a retirement home, it's my forever game <3
