Bluegrove House (long, thin lot on a slope!)

Here in the UK, we don't have a lot of space for houses, so they end up being long and thin! Well, I decided to replicate my own house to give you a little taste of terraced-living.

The structure of the house is very accurate, including the split-level stairs. Unfortunately, this resulted in a little build mode weirdness (as you can see in one of the pictures), but the house is still very beautiful. The furnishings and garden are very very wishful thinking. I live in a rented student house, so as you can imagine, it's pretty dull inside!

Open Underneath Stairs
Once again, I couldn't resist using Numenor's Open Underneath Stairs (and it was kind of necessary for the turn onto the landing), you'll need to download them here and install them using the Scriptorium.

LotAdjuster Info
What is unusual about this lot is that it is very long and thin (1x4), and it is on a downward slope. I achieved this using LotAdjuster, and though I play this house in my own neighbourhood with no issues, I have to stick a boilerplate "use at your own risk" warning on it. You will notice when placing that lot that 1 tile each side slopes down to meet it. This isn't permanent, and if you remove the lot, it will bounce back up to its original height.

Here's the front of the house, which has a bay window and porch. Even though the front garden is on a slope, your sims can still enter it and enjoy the flora.


Another issue I ran into building this lot was a lack of sunlight in the ground floor. I believe this is because of the "valley" it sits in blocking out the sunlight. Honestly, it's pretty accurate to my real-life house! But if shadows aren't your thing, you can just switch the lights on.


This room is modeled after my own room :B But you get a fish tank instead of a Corn Snake!


Sadly, I don't have a pool in real-life! But it will certainly keep your sims amused. There's also some gardening plots for any sims with green thumbs.

About 5 hours went into building this lot, so I'm really excited to share it. It's especially spooky for me playing it, because it's so recognisable! I hope you and your sims enjoy it
