After many technical struggles and many hours spent on SimPE pulling out my own hair, I have created the third and final upload for my sherbet collection. It was definitely a learning experience, but here I am to humbly present to you my homemade batch of Raspberry Sherbet. I recolored crocobaura's Mango & Watermelon Ice Cream to create my own delicious dish. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as the sims who visit my ice cream shop do.
What is this thing you call "sherbet"?
Well, according to culinaryarts.about.com, sherbet is a sweet frozen dessert made with fruit and some sort of dairy product such as milk or cream. It's similar to ice cream in consistency but has a fruit base to it. (It's delicious, trust me ) For this upload I decided to create another classic and my personal favorite type, raspberry sherbet. Yum.
Details You Ought to Know...
Downloading: I have created two different buckets to contain the sherbet, a Simlish and English version. There is text on the side of the bucket and so I created two versions for people who like an all Simlish game. DOWNLOAD ONLY ONE TYPE. Both buckets have the same guids so for your own sanity, please download only one zip. Both contain everything you need for the ice cream to work in game so there's nothing to worry about. (Don't worry, they are very clearly marked)
Meshes: This dish comes on its own custom plate as created by crocobaura, the original creator of this mesh. You need the plate for it to work properly and so I have included it in each zip. (If you have downloaded other variations of this mesh or my sherbets then you most likely already have it in your downloads folder)
Cooking/Serving: The sherbet has been cloned from base game gelatin, and so your sim won't need any cooking skill to pop it out of the fridge. You will find it under "Serve Dessert..." and "Make/Make Many..." if you have the OFB expansion pack. And as per the norm, it serves 6 sims.
Fork vs. Spoon Dilemma: If you downloaded or saw my last upload, you'll know that my computer has been having trouble with spoons. I don't know what its problem is but it has apparently developed a fetish for forks and won't work properly with a spoon. My point: because I am unable to test this upload with a spoon, it has to have a fork. Yes, I know it's weird but if you seriously have a problem with it I suggest checking out this thread to convert the fork to a spoon for your Raspberry Sherbet. I apologize for any inconvenience.
Final Thoughts...
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions feel free to leave a comment! Feedback is greatly appreciated Also, all creators spend a ton of time on their work so make sure to hit that "Thanks" button, it means a lot to us. Thank you so much everyone!
What am I working on now? Curious to what I'm working on next? I keep a consistent and refreshed update on my profile page .
Additional Credits:
Custom Content Featured in Pictures: The super cute "Ice Cream Earrings" by 4w25 have made an appearance again accompanied by the fabulous "Not So Boring Great Taste Dining Table Recolors" by AriesFlare. Also, the photo taken from my ice cream shop, "32 Below", features my last two sherbet uploads, "Orange Sherbet" and "Lime Sherbet".
Design: Big thanks to publicdomainpictures.net (mult. raspberry photo on bucket) and imbored-letsgo.com blog (sherbet texture itself) for the pictures featured on my work.
Technical: And finally, a huge thanks to SimPE.78, Adobe Photoshop Elements 13, FRAPS (Screenshots), Nvidia DDS Utilities (SimPE work), Mod The Sims, SIMale (Simlish Font Download), crocobaura (original Mango & Watermelon Ice Cream and ice cream plate [included] meshes), and AriesFlare (amazing info and pdf doc. tutorial on creating custom foods).
I could not have done this without all of their hardwork before me!
