SCREENSHOTS
Here is another of my houses that is modeled after a real life house plan. I named it after a nearby resort town, Bella Vista, changing the last part to Christa.
It has a total of three stories. On the front side it appears to have only 2 stories, but on the back the basement is actually the first story. There is a small pool at the basement level with a covered patio (that also includes an outside kitchen) and a lake surrounding the pool. Inside the basement you will find a large game room, one bedroom and bathroom, and an exercise room. Also in the basement is the storage room with various unused items from old furniture, baby furniture and the "maxoid" Christmas tree not needed during the summer.
The front door opens to a 2 story foyer with doors leading to the library, dining room and great room. Stairs in the library and great room leads to the upper floor.
The master bedroom is on the main floor and it includes a sitting room and spacious bathroom with sunken tub (hot tub). Also on the main floor is an angled sun room with it's own fireplace that is just off of the angled kitchen. Near the kitchen is an 'at home' office, bathroom, laundry room, pantry/butler break room, another bathroom and the garages. Stairs in this part of the house lead to the butler/maid apartment.
Upstairs there are at least 3 large bedrooms with bathrooms, and two sitting rooms at the front of the house where one could study for college or school, or sit to read a book.
From the outside in the front, this house is definitly grand looking and meant for your billionaire Sims character. It runs a little under 360k simoleans, but for your upper class Sims, they will feel like they deserve it.
I did the "clean install" and took out any "recolor object" but when I went back into the game, those items were still there. The recolors were mainly just wallpapers. There are no hacks in the game that the Clean Installer showed.
Since I had a pantry and a laundry room, there was no way I could do this house without the help of some objects obtained here:
Simsmatic Stackable Washer and Dryer by lledford12
Laundry Hamper by Alandin Accessories Inc.
Ironing Board by Nemi
Cottage Pantry wall paper by SimLana71
also:
the "maxoid" Christmas tree (from Sims.com main site)
and a few wallpapers that I had created
As with the placement and shapes of some of the rooms, the roof didn't come out looking like the roof in the RL house. Also, I've been practicing with the "L-shaped" stairs, and still cannot do that. The RL house had an "L-shaped" stair case near the foyer.
And it requires the University EP.

- You may want to use the Sims2Pack Clean Installer instead of the game's installer, which will let you install sims and pets which may otherwise give errors about needing expansion packs. It also lets you choose what included content to install. Do NOT use Clean Installer to get around this error with lots and houses as that can cause your game to crash when attempting to use that lot. Get S2PCI here: Clean Installer Official Site.

Packs Needed
None, this is Sims 2 base game compatible!
Extra info about me
The thing I like doing the most in any Sims, be it 1, 2 or 3, is to build a house either from the ground up or go into a pre-made house and gut it, totally remodeling it. After the couple have a baby, and I have the house finished, I tend to get bored with that family and start another.
Seems I knew everything there was to know about The Sims2, but with The Sims3 I have been thrown into the 'fracking idiots' section for not knowing every little thing there is to know.
