I’m excited to share an update to my mod that changes the freezing and burning chances for the Ice and Fire spells in The Sims 3. Below, you’ll find the main changes and installation instructions for the mod.

What's New in the Update
Originally, in 2017, I released a mod that increased the freezing and burning chance to 65%. Now, I’ve updated the mod to include a new option with an 85% chance!

Important Note:
You can choose one of the two options: one that increases the chance to 65% or another to 85%. Do not use both files at the same time, as this may cause issues in the game since both modify the same line of code.

Mod Details
  • Ice and Fire Spells: This mod increases the chance of applying freezing or burning effects. The default game rate is 25%. With this mod, you can choose an increased chance of either 65% or 85%.
  • Note: Both spells are not fatal; they only increase the chance of applying the more potent effect of each spell.

  • Required Expansion: Supernatural

Specifications and Conflicts
This mod alters the game’s XML files (MagicWand_CastFireBlast and MagicWand_CastIceBlast). Therefore, it may conflict with other mods that also modify these files. The XML files are located in: C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\Gameplay.
