Seven 1x3 Rental Houses for Families

A while back I took a good look at my custom neighborhood, and I realized that I had more homeless sims than I thought I did. Since I started my hood, sims who can't afford to buy their own homes have lived in motels, flop-houses, cheap apartments, or checked early into the retirement home, and although I always wanted to implement some house renting system in my game, I had never figured out how I wanted to do it... until now!

I have made a set of seven small, row houses with the purpose of having them owned by two or three of my richer sims, and having poorer sims rent them. I knew I wanted these houses to be small, but still suitable for more than one or two sims, and maybe even a pet if they wanted to own one. I also knew I wanted to play around with 1x1 lots, but I also wanted my sims to have space for parking and a yard, so I ended up shrinking a 3x3 down to a 1x3. These houses are furnished with the very basics, with some of the cheapest items in the game, and no custom content.

Additionally, these houses were built to match the others on their sides, which means that, although they can technically be put anywhere on the road and in any order, I recommend to place them in order (1-7), as things like hedges, walls, and ceilings are made to match.

I am excited to start moving my sims into these homes, and if you think you can find some good use for them as well, I'm happy to share them with you.

CREDITS
Houses 1, 3, and 7 were built with CatherineTCJD's 2-Step Foundation DIY Starter Pack as a base. You can see the original name of the lot when you open the house with the Clean Installer.

The windows in house 5 require CEP. I didn't realize those windows weren't originally recolorable in the un-patched vanilla game. You will also see this in Clean Installer.
