Tired of carpools coming to your house when you have a personal vehicle?
If you wish vehicle ownership in The Sims 3 behaved more like it did in The Sims 2, this is the mod for you!

What does it do?
Functionality:
This mod detects if a Sim has access to a personal vehicle (Either owned and on the current lot or in their inventory) and prevents their Career from sending a carpool to their house. When it's time for work, your Sim will automatically take their car to get to work on time. After work, the Sim will take the same car (or walk - if home is close to their work location) back home. (Affects only Sims in the current active household)

Tunable Values
  • The number of hours before work starts that the notification displays can be adjusted (Default is 2) - if the mod is disabled this value is ignored

Additional Information:
  • Instead of the standard message for a carpool arriving in an hour, a more generic message will display
  • Sims will use their preferred vehicle (If they own more than one)
  • If your sim loses access to their vehicle the standard carpool will still arrive
  • The mod can be disabled (or re-enabled) by clicking on your active sim (Testing Cheats must be enabled)

Known Issues Or Untested:
  • Queuing actions while a sim is at work can sometimes result in the "Go Home" interaction ending up at the end of the queue
  • Using a horse as your mode of transportation is untested
