✨ A dream from childhood finally came true! ✨
Really.

All these uploads, renovated houses, getting ideas from the web or making my own ideas, learning how "The Sims 2" building engine works like... All these things led me to building this manor.

Why?
Since I was a child I was obsessed by the TV Series "Charmed". I can't count how many times I tried to recreate their manor in "The Sims" games. Especially I wanted to build this house in the second game bacause it's my favourite part of the series.
As you can imagine, as a child, I was lacking of experience in this game engine. So it was always something wrong with my creation of this house.

Now?
When I finally learned all this mentioned stuff?
I finally built this house just as I always wanted it to be!
And I think that it turned out perfect.
I'm proud of myself and I had tear in my eye when I saw my dream finally coming true.

Everything is just perfectly recreated and looks exactly how it should look like in my opinion.
More importantly I managed to achieve all of it without any custom content!

What is not exactly great about this lot in my opinion?
As I mentioned I think it is perfect.
But of course I had to take some artistic liberties, because of a few reasons...
- Firstly the house itself from the outside is an actual manor from Los Angeles. And it's smaller than the TV Series house from the inside because inside was shooted on the TV set. So putting a bigger floor plan in a smaller house is rather hard to do. But I mentioned many times here on Mod The Sims, that if you want to create something in this game, there is simpy no limits if you have enough experience.
- Secondly the game engine is sometimes tricky. And you really have to think trough many things to achieve them.
That's why there are some shortcuts in the whole lot.

Details, details, and more details!
As I mentioned earlier I was obsessed by the TV Series "Charmed". So as you can imagine I watched this show more like 20 times every episode each. In my childhood I studied this manor and its floor plan many times.
That's why I was able to recreate as many details as I could in "The Sims 2".

- Starting with the basement you can see the dirty floor in one place. That's because there was a magical power called "Nexus" in the TV Series. I wanted to keep that detail on this lot.
- I used a structure called friezes to make this manor happen. It helped me mostly in creating a working attic without destroing the roof looks from outside. What I love about this construction is that I managed to add the wooden beams under the celling in many places to keep this detail from the TV Series manor.
- I tried to recreate general looks of the rooms from the TV Series and I think I managed to do so. Mostly by using cheats of course!
- I love that I managed to, more or less, keep the upstairs floor plan the same as it looked in the TV Series. And you have to believe me that it's not that easy as you think! As I mention the original house and the TV Series set floor plan differ from each other.
- There is one empty room on the first floor. Feel free to make there whatever you want. This room was never seen in the TV Series, we could only see the door leading to that room.
- I recreated girls rooms to look more like from later seasons. I feel like Paige's room has more character in it with the easel and all creative stuff.
- Phoebe's room has its wardrobe but I didn't want to make it as big, so I sneakily squeezed a bathroom there to not waste space in the house. After all you can never have too many bathrooms in sims house!
- The attic is smaller than the one from TV Series because of the game engine. Also I didn't want to destroy the outside looks by making a huge attic. So I chose the smaller option and managed to make it happen.
- The gardens are inspired by the fifth season of the TV Series when we could see the back of the house a little.
(Mostly inspired by the episode with the Wyatt birth and magical gifts from the magical society for the baby.)

I'm really happy that I finally recreated my favourite house in my favourite game. I learned so many tricks in this game engine that I could make it all happen after so many years of trying.
I'm also happy that I can share it here with you! There was times that people were obssesed by this TV Series as I was and they created their own versions of this manor. Now it't time for my talent to shine a little!

- Shiftable Everything (I used this mod a lot to make this lot detailed. Having it in your 'Downloads' folder might help with proper work of furniture on this lot.)

This lot is on higher ground, but you can place this house anywhere you want in your neighbourhood. It should fit anywhere.

I used cheats to build it and I tested it so everything should work fine.

I didn't use any custom content to build this.

There are all needed alarms like fire and burglar alarms in all rooms that they need to be in. They are covered up with furnitures or architecture structures.

I built this in "The Sims 2: Ultimate Collection", so I don't know how it will work with other versions of the game.
