I put the photo area behind the creation area, so you could see the sims fooling around in the background(rather than miss out on whatever it is they are doing when they make all those background noises. ^^)
If I'm not mistaken, you can just place it in the downloads folder. If that doesn't work, put it in thesims2/tsdata/res/globallots and thesims2university/tsdata/res/globallots (if you dont have UNI, dont worry about it).

Edit: OH, it has one custom item- the big 3 tile painting you can see in the mirror. I think its from SimGedohens. But its a nice painting.
