Trying my hand at another semi-whimsical, but still habitable home (and managing to use up four hours I could've spent sleeping), we have here the birdcage.

Coming in a 17,303 Simoleans, it's fully furnished and affordable for a bachelor or a married couple just starting out. It's technically three stories, although there's nothing truly notable on the ground floor aside from the stealth stairs. It's just the home for Sims with little modesty, or for someone who wants to know what Tweety felt like.

Most of the living gets done on the second floor, but the third floor sports quite a bit of open space for a second bedroom, a nursery or gameroom (heck, all three, if planned properly). There's even a modest attempt at landscaping and enough open space for a pool later on. The house sits on a 2x2 lot but still manages to leave quite a lot of space open.

It originally started out as a fishbowl, but I thought it looked more interesting this way. Well, that and I couldn't QUITE get the whole dome thing to look right, so I abandonned that idea and ended up with what you see here.

The design is built almost entirely around Numenor's Wall Window with the prison bar recolors and uses Numenor's invisible walls in a few spots and the recolorable stairs (the Holy Smokes and Wood ones). It sports two stealth stairs, and no hacks or extra meshes (I think). Also heavily in use is RGiles transparent floor tiles, this is the good stuff folks. The furnishings I think are all Maxis made and I tried as much as possible to stick to the standard colors. It will require University though, due to some of the items.
