Yesterday morning, before I had to go to school, I was watching one of the many shows about Jessie James on The History Channel. As I sat there watching them throw picture after picture of him up on the screen I realized he was actually an extreamely atractive man and decided I had to sim him. I talked about it with a guy in my class who said I should make Frank James too (probably because his name is Frank). From there I decided to do all six of the men who are considered to be the core of the gang.

All maxis content. I would have liked to have made period clothing for them, but since what was suposed to be a short project of a single sim turned into a lengthy one of six, I decided against it.
Due to the limited availability and poor quality of photos (not to mention the lack of color) of these men it is impossable to make their sim versions perfect. Therefore I only tried to make them be close carricitures. I was able to find verbal descriptions to asist in my hair and eye color choices only for Jessie James and Cole Younger--for the other four I had to guess based on the darkness of such features compaired to their skin. Jessie was described as having sandy (dirty blonde) hair and peircing blue eyes, which, using only maxis content, translates to blonde and light blue. Frank's hair looked about the same color as Jessie's but his eyes looked darker, so I decided on blonde and dark blue. Cole Younger was described as having thinning reddish hair (probably a strawberry blonde) and his photos showed eyes that were so light they could only be a pale blue or grey, so I gave him red hair and grey eyes. I could only find one picture of John Younger and it showed very dark hair next to very light skin and dark eyes, so I gave him black hair and brown eyes. The other two Younger brothers had the same dark eyes and hair of a hue lighter then John's but not as light as Cole's, so I gave them brown hair and eyes. I realize that it looks like Jim Younger's nose should be higher, but I tried moving it up a little bit and it looked even worse, so I left it where it was. I took the most liberty where hair style was concerned. If I had picked the maxis hair style that was closest to the one shown in each picture, I would have given them all the exact same style--which would have made each man look so much like his brother(s) that you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. So, I picked styles that were similar to the ones in the pictures, but not exactly a like so it wouldn't look as though I'd made the same sim twice.
I picked the photo of the best quality to use to compare to each sim, but I did use other pictures to make them. You can see them all on this site, or on this site by cliking on the linked names.
