Ok fine, computer. I didn't need a reminder that I needed to go through my downloads and actually add them to the game.

I have the hood built- pictured in an earlier post in this thread- but, as usual, I haven't quite got around to uploading it yet. I have several finished hoods waiting to upload!

The initial attraction to the hood was that the islands all connect, I liked that as it made sense and gives me space to expand as my hood grows over time. :D

I have the next island already in place as a downtown (the one that bridge leads to.) but it's not screenshot worthy yet. I'm still building all my own lots without pre-made's or downloads, so it takes time to build it up.

That makes me feel a little better about my failure as yet to send you the rest if the Moltke family to keep Julian company. I've had a few Real Life matters to attend to (like the garden), and buying some Real Life clothes for myself online. What time I have spent Simming has mainly been spent helping young Väinö Mikhailov settle in to downtown Veronaville.

Meantime here are some pictures of outfits (including Maxis clothes) that Andrew and Gloria sometimes wear.:

To try to remedy that a little, I downloaded the outfits in the last item on that page (the one that's marked [Naver] Yuri/Twinkleta 4 Adult Male Outfits, and I took a picture of them:

Now for the real purpose of this post -- pictures of Gloria in all her current outfits for @simsample .:

A lot of these pictures were taken in front of the blue wardrobe in Andrew's rather awkwardly shaped bedroom. Although the wardrobe is in Andrew's room, Andrew and Gloria have shared it ever since they first moved in back in 2012. Since they joined the family, Julian and Garry have also kept their clothes in it. I'm not quite sure how all those outfits fit into what is really quite a small wardrobe. It's probably just as well that they all like fairly minimal outfits. Julian's clothes in particular really can't take up much space!!

P.S. I'll PM you shortly with the ones I can't link to. That's mainly her formal outfit/wedding dress. If anyone recognises where it came from, please let me know. I reckon Little White deserves some credit for it!

Thank you @AndrewGloria Just what I needed to sort Gloria out for clothes! I am downloading all needed outfits now. I like those cover ups with the bikini, they use Marvine's alpha skirt mesh which I have a shed load of recolours for. Very cool!

Hi @simsample !

I am about to send you a PM with Gloria's husband Garry Jones (Garry Mackay before their marriage in 2020). As it's hard to include pictures in a PM, here are pictures of his current outfits (and one older outfit he still has in his wardrobe). A lot of Garry's outfits are from Mod the Sims, which makes them easier to download.,

Simsample, I'll try and send you the PM of Garry later today.

Yes they do! I guess it must be Gloria's favourite male hairstyle, since the two loves in her life -- her son and her husband both have it. It's certainly one my favourite Maxis male hairstyles, along with the more untidy hair as worn by Mercutio Monty and Ravi Bertino. That's because I firmly believe that boys' hair ought to cover their ears. Mine certainly does, though I suppose I'm lucky to still have enough hair to do that in my seventies. Those are really the only two Maxis male hairstyles that I like, which I suppose is why I started using CC hair so early in my game. I suppose the mullet style covers the ears too, but it leaves the forehead bare, which I think makes the wearer look older. (I suppose it goes with a receding hairline.) So prefer male hair to have a fringe, or what Americans seem to call "bangs" at the front. This is also how I try to comb my own hair, in part because I have a pock mark on my forehead, caused by scratching a chicken pox spot when I was only five or six. I was told not to scratch them, but it's hard not to scratch when you're itchy, especially when you’re as young as I was!

I like female hair much the same as I like male hair, though I think I think on average my female Sims tend to wear their hair just a little bit longer than their male counterparts. As with clothing, the choice of Maxis hairstyles available for females is a little bit better than for males, but I still prefer their foreheads at least partially covered, because (IMAO) it makes them look younger. When I came to make the Moltke family a couple of weeks after Andrew and Gloria, I gave them all CC hair, except for Brigitte Moltke (Julian's younger sister) who got a Maxis hairstyle that I liked. I had been playing them for really quite a long time before I noticed that Brigitte's hair was exactly the same as Gloria's. Really the same -- as they're both blonde! It didn't matter so much when Brigitte was a child, but, since she grew up to a teen, they are getting to look rather like each other. In character however they're quite different: while Gloria is ultra-outgoing and a Romance Sim, Brigitte is much more conservative in her outlook: she does usually wear a short skirt for everyday-wear, but then she is after all still a Veronaville teen, and it's hard to go against all fashion. But she chose to wear a full-length "princess" dress to her brother's wedding. Also, since becoming a teen, she has shown no interest at all in romance, in contrast to her precocious younger brother Hans, who, though still a child, has, thanks to the Childhood Crushes mod, both a boyfriend (Hermes Hunter) and a girlfriend (Tessa Ramirez)! Hermes and Tessa actually live quite near each other in Bluewater.

---------------------------------------------------------------

@simsample , I'm thinking it might make sense to send you the Moltke family with a selection of their clothes, so you can get them moved into Channelwood. I can then send you the rest of their clothes when I've got them sorted out. I think I'll get Martin (the father) a new formal outfit, as I think the current one is a bit too conventional for him (even though he's a Police Officer).

I have been working on Andrew and Gloria's new home, Channelwood (this version has been renamed 'Channelwood Verona' as it is especially for AndrewGloria's Veronaville sims, although it is gatecrashed by a load of my old favourites ).

Garry and Julian have safely moved in to 15 Garden Road with Andrew and Gloria, and I was playing their first day together (leaving them mostly on freewill to see what happened). I had them invite in anyone who walked by.

They all hung around the house getting used to it, and Andrew and Julian both had to leave for their first days in their new jobs. Andrew had a wish to be an architect, so is a cement mixer in that career, and Julian wanted to be a journalist, so is now employed as a yearbook club supervisor. They skipped school on their first day.

The visitors are- Technoviking (muscly blonde), Sloopy Sprangas (tall guy with the beanie hat), Burford McMonobrow (one of the disgusting sims made by Bink13y , I love his sims! I slightly modified him for my own use. Burford currently lives in a tent in Sloopy's back garden!), and Winde Grubb (the girl in the yellow fluffy jacket). Sal Sample (Sim's mum) arrived and stole the newspaper for some reason! I think Gloria wants to move house already.

Pictures presented without comment, I have lots of nice presentable sims in the hood too, so I'm not sure why the only people to arrive were the miscreants!

Creepy cigarette mafia guy seems to have no sense of propriety lol. Perving on Gloria and Garry while they're in their bedroom looking as if they just had woohoo.

I am thoroughly disappointed that Sim Sample's mum is PVC free.

I took a while to recognise Andrew in his career outfit. I was thinking, 'who is that weird looking guy in the overalls?'. XD

If you mean the short guy in the green suit, yes that's Burford and he kept stalking Garry, butting into all of his interactions with Gloria. He is creepy, the backstory is that he used to supply weed to Sloopy, and turned up when Sloopy had just moved to Channelwood, looking for a place to stay. So Sloopy banished him to the tent outside!

Sal Sample is quite a normal family sim, she likes baking and occasionally gets some wild hair styles. She's the one that cleans up after Sim and his dad!

Andrew does look so different without his normal hairstyle! Very handsome though, his mum told him so!

"Hi Andrew! Who is Zeke, and why did you buy a broken chair from him?"

I love seeing these familiar faces in a new setting! I think I can sympathise with how Andrew must have felt talking to Technoviking, and only coming up to his chest. I'm about the same height as Andrew, and often feel the same when talking to many modern young men! I see somebody has persuaded Julian to actually wear a top!! The only time I've seen him wearing one in my game was on his wedding day, and even then he had taken it off several hours before bedtime!

Aside from Gloria having reservations about some of the locals, they really do look happy in their new surroundings. Interesting too to see Andrew and Julian with jobs. Architecture seems a good choice for Andrew after his experience managing Jones & Moltke. In my game they've been off school for a while, thanks to long school holidays (vacation), simulated by Simlogical Flexischool, so it's probably to go back. They're both quite studious Knowledge Sims, and they generally enjoy school -- I suppose it's quite a good place for acquiring knowledge.

Zeke is a dodgy character who has been in several of my hoods, he was one of the first residents in Lacuna Delta and ran a pawn shop there. The idea was that when Sims had old furniture, they could take it to his shop and gift it to him, and I'd have him pay them a nominal amount using the simwardrobe chequebook. Then he'd sell the furniture for an extortionate amount in his shop! He always underpaid his employees. I put Zeke in Channelwood Verona and was setting his shop up when Andrew arrived, Zeke practiced his sales pitch on him, and Andrew autonomously purchased some things then paid and left. When I played the Jones family, he had two books and a stool in his inventory!

It's Autumn in Channelwood and changed to winter the next morning, so I think they might want some extra clothes!

Interesting too to see Andrew and Julian with jobs.

They are just the after school teen jobs, but on that first day the lot initialised too late for the school bus. I'd already decided to put Andrew in the Architecture career (remembering how good he was at designing houses with Julian). Julian, though, had a wish for journalism, and it came up on the computer job search. So he had a wish fulfilled.

It must be exciting for Julian to see his first fireflies, seeing as he doesn't have Seasons at home. I am thankful for the strategically placed jar lid. XD

He got up in the middle of the night to do this, and he has naked pyjamas as @AndrewGloria mentioned he likes to sleep naked. I'm playing barbie sims, so it looks a bit strange when there's no blur!
