This is great! Does it also zoom way out when I'm in the accessory tab? Because that's the most annoying thing to me: when there're accessories that are not in the face area and have no tool tip so I have to go to clothes tab to see it and back again to change it. Anyway, very useful!

EDIT: Checked myself, unfortunately it doesn't zoom out that much in the accessory tab. Also, I can now zoom in way way way beyond where the sim stands, that defeats the purpose a bit. Is it just me? I have only Uni+NL, maybe something about the CAS camera got changed later. If it's like that for everyone I would greatly appreciate it if you can fix that so camera stops before crashing through the sim, if that's possible and not a hard-wired side-effect of this zoom ability.

Absolutely great idea!! I saw it, played the game and realized I needed it. And it's perfect!
Although Psychosim's advices can be fullfilled. For example you chose "6" in CAS_FaceAdult, setparam maxzoom, the perfect value would be "0.3" etc. I think it's best to open the game, your textfile and the original textfile for comparison and trying out. I've just adjusted it a bit, maybe I could help you. Just say so - thanks for the idea, I'd never come up with something like that awesome!

Okay, thanks for bringing that up. I noticed it but it got approved before I could fix it, so I've played with it more and now it doesn't crash through the Sim.
The one thing that I just can't seem to fix is that brick wall, I don't know why it does that....I apologize for that though.

I am assuming this will conflict with GunMod's Camera Mod?

Or is it possible to use your CAS mod, somehow remove his, and still be able to use his camera for everything else?

It's possible. Just place the txt-file in Documents/ EA Games / Sims 2 / Camera Mods and just the CAS-camera-file is replaced. The others will stay the same as before. have fun!

I have GCM and it does not conflict. Replace the existing one with this if you want to download it. :D

Thanks!
Is this one better than GunMod's CAS? I am constantly fighting with the camera in CAS, especially with the teens! It doesn't like to back up enough for me to see their face or feet when in full-body like clothes and such.
I like the zoom-in part of his, it's just the backing back out that gives me fits!

Open Documents / EA Games / Sims 2 / Cameras / CASCamera.txt
go to: # Camera used in create a sim
camera "CAS_ClothesTeen" CreateASim
Search for: setparam minzoom and try out different values until you're satisfied. You can adjust and see your settings while playing.

Oh! Thank you very much!
Should I take the number higher or lower to back out further?

The higher the number the more it will zoom.

I think that this will be great for movie making, or picture shots! Thank-you.

Yes. When you extract the files to your Cameras folder, allow it to replace the old CAS camera or else you won't see a difference.

About your bug (REMEBER, AT FIRST YOU WILL SEE A BRICK WALL AND THE SIDEWALK BUT THEN CLICK ON THE CREATE A SIM BUTTON AND IT WILL GO BACK TO NORMAL!! Sorry about that, idk how to fix it.), I know a way to solve it:
The first " setparam minzoom" has to be changed to " setparam minzoom -1" instead of "-10".

I don't know if I'll ever use it, but I do remember being frustrated by how not close Maxis allowed the camera... now I'll be able to ZOOM if I ever need to!
