@Kniga, I learned from the members who shared their expertise in Editing Premade Worlds, and its predecessor.
Which incidentally is linked in the Wiki.

I posted in Sunset Valley fixes that the world fixes were not being applied. Checked the fixed areas in Appaloosa and the fixes are not being applied here either.

This is supposed to update any existing games as well, right? Like Scsimmerman, the fixes aren't applying for me. I extracted the file exactly as indicated (changed original to .orig, renamed zip files, they compiled into one, put it in the proper path, deleted caches, etc.) but the roads don't match the picture and I'm still getting extreme lag. I have Seasons and am patched to 1.42, if that's of any help.

Can I confirm that (both of) you have tested and confirmed the fixes don't seem to be applied to a Save game started with the original world, but is OK when you start a new game based on this (fixed version of the) world?

I have now, officially, checked whether the fixes are applied to new saves. As far as Appaloosa Plains and Sunset Valley are concerned, the fixes are applied correctly in new saves. Bridgeport fixes are also applied in new saves I believe (I will have to double check because I cannot remember if I checked an old Bridgeport save or new Bridgeport save). As far as old saves go, Appaloosa Plains and Sunset Valley do not register the fixes. I know they used to. Thanks for your help!

Yes, I have been digging into the resources to compare differences. Saves started while on patch 1.42 does not appear to pick up the routing fixes if the fixes is placed after the save game was started.

But, a Save started prior to patch 1.42, eg I had a Save game that I tested while on patch 1.39, and I copy it into the Saves folder where the .world (or fixes) were just now applied, will show the intersections with no extra steps. Just like all this while.

I don't even know where to start looking next. All these changes appear to affect the way worlds are recognized in a 1.42 game
- intersections no longer showing up in a save on a newly started game while on 1.42
- crashing when saving a game
- worlds not being exported from CAW and installed successfully while on 1.42
- CAW & EIG being unstable and crashing
- more I'm sure...that deals with files and saves and crashing.

My suggestion at this time is to use Twallan's Porter and transplant your favorite Households (and their friends & relatives if you desire) from your current Save into a newly started game based on a fixed world.
Keep copies of your Saves backup somewhere in case someone figured out how to salvage these Saves without "Porter-izing" in the future, if you care to do that later. Because even "Porter-izing" is not a guaranteed solution, since we still have not identified the root cause. But it is an acceptable workaround in the interim.

I tested your first finding and found the same. Had a save I started after Seasons was installed/while on patch 1.42, and the fixes do not show. However, I have a save that was made well before patch 1.42, and the fixes do not show here either. Both are Sunset Valley. I believe, as has become practice for me, that when I updated to patch 1.42 and installed Seasons my saves were removed first so I did what you did in putting a save in the save folder. The only difference was that, I believe I put the save back in BEFORE I applied the fixes, not after.

I started a new world and the fixes were applied! I will follow your suggestion to port my families over. Thank you very much!

Wow. I just recovered this username after nearly four years of this account being inaccessible... Oh happy day!
(Btw, PsychoKatie and Psycho_Katie = same person. A site-wide glitch messed up accounts four years ago and I had to remake one...)

This is one of my favorite in-game worlds but it became unplayable for me. Thanks so much for fixing it and all your hard work on the world fixes.

I have the Pet Shop installed, in game, which I got, free, w/ the Pets download. However, in your Appaloosa Plains world, w/ fixes, there is no option for it, under Community Lot, where you would need to select "Pet Shop," to place the store, onto the lot. Thanks!

For some time I'm trying to install the sims 3 pet. But there is always a mistake, and now the error is because of the lack of a .cab file (something like complement) of AppalosaPlains.world. I would appreciate if someone help me.
Thank you

Thank you. I've been meaning to install this for some time and I finally got around to it today. Would you believe after all the time I've been playing TS3 I''ve never played Appaloosa Plains. It took literally hours to load, lagged like hell, and every time I went into Edit Town and tried to place a building on one of the empty lots it would crash the game. Well I just did that using your fixed version and there were no problems. Seems to be a lot less laggy too. I'm looking forward to exploring what is, for me, a 'new' town.

The world will no longer load in my game. The green bar goes all the way to the end (99%) and stays that way. Even worse, when I tried to put the original world back, I am not met with the same problem. So now I can no longer play this world without uninstalling and reinstalling it.

What are the other parts for? The instructions say to only extract part 1.
