The Church was built in AD 600 by the Order of Nouvion and fell in to disrepair after several centuries of neglect.
The people by subscription restored the tower while the main building was destroyed by a mysterious fire and the people planted a beautiful garden that now surrounds the grounds.
They also erected a monument to the Fallen Madonna and a Wedding Arch.
