Mars Base Alpha1

Hi everyone. Chris997 and I teamed together to bring you the first permanently manned base on Mars. It's the year 3026 and planet Earth was hit by a huge asteroid and thrown off orbit. Seasons changed, the ice caps melted and violent winds swept the across the continents. The World Council was powerless against nature and teams of scientist from the most prestigious universities across the globe were working around the clock trying to find a solution to the problem that threatened the very existence of humanity. It was in these uncertain times that Sir Mortimer Goth decided to leave Dinah to explore a more humble approach to life and donated all his money to the funding of the first manned expedition to Mars. Scientists have fianlly found a solution to their problem: RELOCATION. It was agreed that an initial team of four scientist will go there and set up the first permanently manned base on the red planet. The mission of these brave men was clear: detonate a device that would cause breathable oxigen to accumulate in the atmosphere, set up a water station that would mine water from the ice layers burried deep under the planet's surface, and most importantly build their headquarters. There was no turning back now, the shuttle they came here with had very little fuel left and once the rare air became breathable the planet did not seem that unwellcoming anymore. It was a titan's work but they pulled it through. Right now, they are building hydrobots and droids to help newcomers set up their homes and maintain the indoor farming units that will help them keep a balanced died on their new home. Well, hope no one really expects to find chinese takeout nor pizza delivery on Mars, especially not when the Space Bar offers mostly water: Blended water, Poured water, and Recycled water! And there's definitely no chic boutique downtown!!! Like, I said, only the bravest of the brave and the most adventurous adventurer comes to Mars. They don't come with empty hands, everyone brings with them a little bit of earth, a plant,a chair, a book, all in hope that one day this desert planet will be as green and thriving as Earth once was. C7 Space sky was cloned from the fig tree and will be found in the buy catalog/floorlamps
moonrover, satellite, twister and shuttle were made from Shaklin's RC car template and will be found under electronics in the buy catalogue
waterbarrels were cloned from the blue vase with lillies and is found under decorative/sculptures
waterstation was cloned from the big gorrila and will be found under decorative/ sculptures.

New objects meshes and textures by chris997 and myself. I'd like to thank Shaklin for her wonderful tutorial found here and to Khaibit, Echo and Inge Jones for their wonderful assistance in the help forums.

The lot was built using all expansions installed. In case you don't have all of them you should try installing it with clean installer. All new objects can be downloaded separately. You'll see that in the packages for the moonrover, shuttle, twister and satellite, you'll have two files, you need to put them both in your downloads folder or else they will not work.
