Country of Origin: Italy
Colour: White - may have lemon, fawn or biscuit markings
Coat type: Thick, weather resistant of medium length
Temperament: Protective, tolerant, strong willed
Size: Approx. 63.5-71cm and 36-45kg
Group: Working Dog
Original Purpose: Originally bred as a guardian for sheep flocks against
wolves and bears

The Maremma is a natural guarding breed that will never forget a kindness or an injury. A proud breed that is not inclined to submission, the Maremma will give its life to save its family if the need arises, despite the fact that it is hesitant to show devotion.
