MAJOR UPDATE:
Thanks to Citysim for saying this didn't work without Pets, I have released a version that might not need the Pets EP. I have recloned the object with only the base game files and the CEP files, so it should be compatible with any or all EP's. Just so you know even though the telescopes don't overwrite eachother, they can't work if both are in your downloads folder. I will leave the original version up just in case it isn't an EP issue, just an incompatibility issue with another download Citysim has. Please download the new file.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since I feel my last telescope was a success, I have decided to upload another.

This is a completely new telescope, as in it wont overwrite anything, unlike my last one.

The story behind the development of this telescope:
I was drawing an antique telescope in my notebook a few days ago and I felt inclined to make it for The Sims 2. Thus the "Classically Modern" Telescope was born.

Faces/Vertecies Count:
Faces: 3121
Vertecies: 1866

Recoloring notes: Feel free to recolor and distribute your recolors of this object only on MTS2 as long as you link back to this thread. (Note that I tried my best to make it recolorable, but it seems that it just won't work, so you have to replace the defualt texture) This has a nice big 512 x 512 texture map (Unlike the original cheap Maxis telescope, with a 64 x 64 texture map) which is easy enough to recolor. I split the second cylinder by orientation so you could put a logo on it, but I did it on the wrong axis and I only noticed this once I was done with everything. You can put a logo on a recolor, it would just be hard to do so. If you want a UV map PM me.

I got my textures from these sites:
