Here's something else I wanted simply because I'd recolored the chairs that I usually use with it. So, have some rather futz-o-licious recolors of the basegame's fancy chess table, complete with MOAR FANCY.

Because I didn't just slap color on it, y'see. No, sir, I also added some brassy trim in various places, mainly to give the silly thing some dimension that I think it sorely needed. And I fussed around a lot with the checkerboard on the top to make it look a little more like actual inlay and a little less like a differently-colored thing glued on top of the table, which is what it looks like on the woodier EAxis textures. Then I regrained everything to gave it more of a lightly burled look. And, of course, I dumped twelve different colors on it. Oh, and I made the timer actually black instead of that strange charcoal-y not-black color that's on the EAxis textures. So, a lot of work went into this stupid little table, especially because it required a lot of cycling through Photoshop, SimPE, and the game until I liked the result. Speaking of which, here's the final result, all twelve colors:

Heh. The "white" looks more like marble than wood, I fear, but I sort of like the effect, so...

However, I should caution folks with lower-end computers and/or graphics cards that the added brass trim on the sides and base of the table might not look so good in your own game. In particular, if your machine's video card can't smooth edges, I can pretty much guarantee that the trim will look poopy. So caveat emptor, as they say. But otherwise, I think this table looks pretty darn nifty now, if I do say so myself.

As usual, everything's pre-Compressorized and clearly-named so that you can easily get rid of what you don't need. I hope that your snootier Knowledge Sims can get some use out of these!
