Standalone recolors of the Portrait of Lord Shallot. Click to enlarge the screen capture.
I've always been impressed and inspired by both Baroque and Renaissance painting styles, so I've assembled portraits here of several of them, and one impressionist portrait to round it out. While searching for classical and Renaissance portraits, I came across a hilarious contest to place celebrities into classical paintings. While amusing, I avoided the celebrity versions.
Paintings and their sources:
Albert Lynch's "Woman in Red Embroidered Shawl" - source
Johannes Vermeer's “The Girl With The Pearl Earring” - source
Leonardo da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" - source
Albrecht Dürer's self portrait - source
Léon Joseph Florentin Bonnat's self portrait - source
Peter Paul Rueben's Portrait of a Woman, Probably Susanna Lunden (Susanna Fourment, 1599–1628)- source
Tiziano Vecelli's self portrait - source
Vincenzo Catena's portrait of Gian Giorgio Trissino - source
Manet's impressionist painting "Self-Portrait with Palette" -- source
Ralphael's "Portrait of Leo X" - source (I particularly like this one for the rich textures on the pope's robes)
Bernardino Luini's "Salome with the Head of St. John the Baptist" - source (a dark part of the Christian tradition but an amazing capture of skin tones and face structures, amazingly well done)
...and a few paintings by Bartolomeo Veneto - source
Requires Get Together.
Enjoy.

I've created hundreds of mods for various games over the years, including Sims 4, Skyrim, SimCity 4, and SimCity 2013. While all fun to do, I currently only develop for Sims 4.
