The Sanctum Sanctorum (based the residence of Marvel's Dr. Strange) [2br, 2ba]
My very first upload, it took me almost a week to build this (mostly because I tend to procrastinate and forget myself :P) but I've finally finished it.
Based on the Sanctum Sanctorum, the residence of Marvel Comics' Sorcerer Supreme - Doctor Stephen Strange, this residential lot is a three-story Victorian-style brownstone townhouse built in the French Baroque architectural style with a Mansard roof.
Exterior
The exterior of the lot is almost identical to it's comic book counterpart, although I have added a few personal touches. Such as the four marble goblins on the roof. In some comics the house is sometimes depicted as having a chimney (thus a fireplace), unfortunately, I did not have any space to spare to add one. The front portion of the roof is a little bit different, due to the large window. (Game/Building limitations) The two first floor front windows are different from the comic book version, I just used those (The two piece Grand Window set from Supernatural) as they complement the ones on top of them.
Note: The large round window on the third floor that is supposed to represent the one from the comics (The Window of the Worlds/Seal of the Vishanti), is the only CC item I have on this lot. (Link and info down below)
Interior
This is where the house massively differs from its comic book counterpart. While I have tried to keep to the floor plan that is described in the comics (as in, what rooms are on each floor), the rooms themselves differ aesthetically due to the lack of comic book consistency/continuity. Also in the comics, the house is described as being bigger on the inside due to its interior being located in a pocket dimension of sorts...so ... yeah. I had finite space to deal with. Despite everything though, I love how it turned out. (even if it isn't quite comic book accurate )
First Floor
Entrance Hall - This room is split between the two floors. The positioning of the staircase and the two doors this room has is comic book accurate. (In one panel of an old Dr. Strange comic book, the wallpaper appears to be green, which is the main color I used for this room)
Living Room - The Yellow-Golden room with whitewood flooring and wall panelling. No TV, since I want this house to have an old-timey atmosphere to it. (You have the grand piano and gramophone-stereo to amuse yourselves with :P)
Guestroom - A (very) small orange room designed either for a non-pretentious Sim or a servant... of sorts. Conceptually, this is supposed be Wong's Room. (he is Doctor Strange's servant/assistant/apprentice/butler in the comics)
The Two Corridors - The red coloration of the carpets and wood of these corridors are a little bit based on how the house interior looked like in a video game I once played. (Marvel: Ultimate Alliance)
Dining Room - I wanted this room to be represented by a color that contrasted the golden hue of the adjacent living room, so I chose dark brown. (Love the crockery shelf that came with Supernatural)
Kitchen - Ok...uhm...well the pink was inspired by ... well... ok I kinda imagined a Grandma's kitchen, with the pink roses on the walls and the blindingly bright whiteness of the wood. Also put a jelly bean bush here, to fit with the theme of magic and food. (Cuz ya now... it's a kitchen)
Laundry Room - Just a basic laundry room, nothing more, nothing less. (Sadly my mind was unable to come up with a more interesting design than this T_T)
First Floor Bathroom - It took me a thousand years to get the right beige hue for this room. It either looked too white or too orange, before I finally settled on this. (T_T)
Second Floor
Two More Corridors - One has an easel with neat paint clutter on an end table near it, while the other - a small sitting area. :3 (Because I didn't know wtf to put there, don't judge me >.> xD)
Master Bedroom - I chose violet/purple for this room as that is the color of royalty and comfort. (And also because that's my favourite color, but that's irrelevant) Also, there is a bookcase door connecting this room to the library.
Second Floor Bathroom - Like the one on the first floor... just less beige and more white. (to compliment the grey color of the wood in the Master Bedroom)
Library - Blue is the color of knolwedge (I write this, and as always, misspell the word "knowledge" sigh ;- It has two hidden bookcase doors, one leading to the Master Bedroom and the other to a secret staircase leading up to the third floor. (Used MoveObjects quite a lot in this room, mainly on the bookshelves)
Note: Unfortunately, you cannot sit on one of the Chess Table chairs, meaning two sims cannot play with each other. (that sounds a bit dirty... @_@)
Third Floor
Mystical Chamber - This large room contains a plethora of magical/peculiar items from Supernatural, such as the Alchemy Station, the Jem Cutter Machine, the Magical Eight Ball and the Mood Lamp.
At the center of the room is a diving well (with a swirly green whirlpool), it acts as a portal to the Greenhouse. More on that later
Divination Room - This room contains the Moondial in the middle, and three Magenta Crystal Ball stage props that came with Showtime.
Occult Artifact Display Room - An unimpressive room that houses display cases with wand decor objects inside of them. One display case has a golden Iridescent wand. (Symbolically, it represents the powerful "Wand of Watoomb" from the comics)
Storage Room - A simple storage room with two storage shelves and a broom ... holder thingy. (I personally use this to store my alchemical ingredients)
Basement Floor
The idea for this entire floor is that it is basically an "Alternate Dimension" version of the third floor of the house, except that the objects are replaced with those neat grass rugs from Into The Future. (meaning you can plant stuff here) There are also planter pots in the adjoining four rooms. This is the perfect place to grow ingredients for all your alchemical and culinary needs.
Note: The Dive Wells (with the swirly green whirlpool water) are the "portals" that connect the third floor and the "Alternate Dimension" greenhouse-basement.
Custom Content
Large Round Window by Canelline @ The Sims Resource (You need to download this separately from TSR, as in, I have not included it along with the lot in the zip file)
Expansion/Stuff Pack Requirements
The ones I have listed may not be completely accurate, I did not keep track of the items I was using. (cuz I'm an idiot) To be safe, make sure you have (preferably) all expansion packs and the three stuff packs I have listed. (although, you might not need the stuff packs, since I mostly used small decor plants and pieces, no actual interactable furniture as far as I can remember) One thing's for sure though, Supernatural is mandatory. (Ambitions accounts for the Laundry Room, while Into the Future for the grass carpets in the Basement level)

Install Instructions
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file.
2. Select the .sims3pack file you got from extracting.
3. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
5. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Select the house icon, find the lot in the list, and tick the box next to it. Then press the Install button below the list.
6. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the lot to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
7. Run the game, and find your lot in Edit Town, in the premade lots bin.
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
