1 Year As 1 Day Lifespan

This is a pack of mods that modify Sim or pet lifespan in order to reflect one real life year as one Sim day – under certain assumptions.

If you have one of the following pre-release mods, delete it before you install these mods:
  • simNopke-1yearAs1dayLifespan
  • simNopke-1yearAs1dayLifespan-growUpNextDay
After you have installed any lifespan mods, only newly created Sims/pets will be affected by it. Already existing Sims/pets will use the new lifespan settings once they have grown up.

You may use Smart Age Correct by Chris Hatch and Lazy Duchess to update the lifespans of existing Sims/pets to match them to newly installed lifespan mods.
Update (22 Mar 2023): Fixed grow up next day versions of the lifespan mods because they didn't always prevent newborn Sims or pets from growing up on the same day they were born.
18h Sim pregnancy mod
Makes Sim pregnancy last 18 hours in total – 6 hours for each trimester.
In an unmodded game, it lasts 75 hours – 25 hours for each trimester.

If a Sim got pregnant before you have installed this mod, that pregnancy won't be affected.
4h pet pregnancy mod
Makes pet pregnancy last 4 hours.
In an unmodded game, it lasts 48 to 60 hours.

If a pet got pregnant before you have installed this mod, that pregnancy won't be affected.
Lifespan mod: Sims
Assumptions:
  • Babies become toddlers when they're 1 year old,
  • Toddlers become children when they're 5 years old,
  • Children become teens when they're 13 years old,
  • Teens go to college when they're 20 years old,
  • College education lasts 4 years so young adults graduate when they're 24 years old,
  • Adults become elders when they're 55 years old
  • People live no more than 85 years.

Lifespan settings:
  • Baby: 1 day (3 days in an unmodded game),
  • Toddler: 4 days (as in an unmodded game),
  • Child: 8 days (as in an unmodded game),
  • Teen: 7 days (15 days in an unmodded game),
  • Adult: 31 days (29 days in an unmodded game),
  • Elder (not plantsim): 10 to 20 days (11 to 21 days in an unmodded game),
  • Elder (plantsim): 15 to 25 days (16 to 26 days in an unmodded game).

Additionally, elders can have additional -2 to 10 days (as in an unmodded game) depending on the aspiration level they had while growing up.

This mod does not modify college time. If you want to make it shorter, you may use Faster University Education by Dave Luv and Semester Changes by Cyjon.
You may be also interested in the 0 to 4 version of my College Dependent Adult Stage Days mod. It makes Sims who haven't graduated have their adult life stage longer.

There are 2 versions of this mod:
  • regular: if a baby is born before 6 PM*, it will grow up after 6 PM on the same day – so this life stage can last a few hours or even less,
  • grow up next day: if a baby is born before 6 PM*, it will grow up after 6 PM* next day – to make this life stage last longer.

* If you have a mod that changes this time, my mod will use it instead of 6 PM.

Use only one version at a time.
Lifespan mod: pets
Assumptions:
  • Puppies and kittens become adult dogs and cats when they're 1 year old,
  • Adult large dogs become elders when they're 8 to 9 years old,
  • Large dogs live 11 to 15 years,
  • Adult small dogs become elders when they're 10 to 11 years old,
  • Small dogs live 13 to 17 years,
  • Adult cats become elders when they're 10 to 11 years old,
  • Cats live 14 to 18 years.

Lifespan settings:
  • Puppy or kitten: 1 day (4 days in an unmodded game),
  • Adult large dog: 7 to 8 days (22 days in an unmodded game),
  • Elder large dog: 3 to 6 days (6 to 11 days in an unmodded game)
  • Adult small dog: 9 to 10 days (26 days in an unmodded game),
  • Elder small dog: 3 to 6 days (6 to 11 days in an unmodded game),
  • Adult cat: 9 to 10 days (26 days in an unmodded game),
  • Elder cat: 4 to 7 days (6 to 11 days in an unmodded game).

There are 2 versions of this mod:
