Fixing the Too Many Fridges Error

EA's September 2025 update limited the number of fridges that could be on a lot to only two. More than two fridges on the lot greys out both the "Cook" and "Cook a Grand Meal" pie menu options. On hover, a message appears stating, "This lot has too many fridges for Sims to cook on this stove. Having 2 or fewer fridges on the lot will allow them to cook on stoves and ovens again!"

This was reported in the EA forums by a number of users, and it was noted that in the trailer for "Adventure Awaits", multiple fridges were shown in the cooking challenge scene. However, even though EA never stated in any of the update notes that this was something being changed, one of the EA mods stated that this was by design, never mind that you can still cook by clicking on the fridges.

The save I've been playing for nearly a year has a fridge in the main house, a fridge in the unit I built for the butler, and two mini-fridges: one in the home lot small business, and one in the shed where my Sims make nectar.

Others mentioned that their lots with multiple flats or tiny homes now had to be reduced to two shared fridges for multiple families, and that the refrigerated food cases also appear to contribute to the two-fridge limit.

It doesn't seem to be something that has captured widespread attention since searches aren't turning much up and there hasn't been chatter about it on the socials, but clearly this is game breaking for some subset of Simmers.

Since I haven't found anything else yet, I've created my first mod and am posting it here for those of us who need to have more than two fridges or food cases on our lots and need to be able to cook.
