It has to be done manually, but Inge's Institution Sign does that. Say for the bus or carpool to come or not come.

Beside regular, there are hidden scholarships, you can check for details on simpedia (sims wiki). They can be UNLOCKED if sims can perform certain stuff.

I don't think "hustling" chess is a thing, but... i guess there's no real rule against it. Maybe someone could add the "hustle" option to chessboards. I just dont think i'd personally be downloading an object that lets sims skill and earn that much more money at the same time. I absolutely HATE the career reward pinball machine, for that very reason. I'd prefer it if it was JUST a pinball machine, and nobody earned money off it. What kind of pinball machine dumps out money? ...a broken one.

Dont know if anyone before suggested, mentioned such mod...its a mod that allowes you to DICTATE/DECIDE on when the game can spawn npc service sims. Please, let me explain. Say you send sim to a bar and in your storytelling that bar shouldnt be open until 7pm, so the game wouldnt spawn npc service serving drinks until 7pm. Or your sim cant get massage treatment from 5pm to 8am, the game wont spawn masseur npc sim near massage table. In other words, the mod let you decide when serving npc sims can treat your playable sims. Plus, its idea for unowned community lots.

What do you think, simmers?

I tested this out @CaliBrat , thanks for the link! It works wonderfully, but there's no way to select which sim stays at home. I was rather hoping for a way to have the carpool show up for one sim but not the other on a specific day. Kind of like the way you can call in sick, but I just want the sim to book leave without having the car pool turn up for an hour! It's very useful to have though!

Well, if you want to be inspiring to any mod developer, offer to test the mod out first.

Then they can put your name in lights..er the credits.

Bulbizarre undoubtedly did a lot of testing for those mods.

I remember doing that myself, when seeing if the mod was gonna work or not.

We're just so dedicated for the love of this game.

We're the unsung heroes..ok, we got paid off in cookies..

I wish there was a mood to recategorize some of the gesture interactions:
-I'd move kiss kiss darling to the kiss section;
-Earthy hug to the hug section;
-I'd add secret handshake to the gesture menu as I'm positive it's got its on pie menu.

I've recently found one that adds the dance together interaction to a menu called dance which includes classic dance and slow dance... So I'm sure it's a achievable :D

They are grouped that way because they are social class interactions, just like the stories. Although I'm not sure what relevance the social classes really have, apart from determining which annoying greeting your neighbours will do when you live in an apartment!

Oh yes, I know why they're in different menus but I never play with the townies from AL (or townies in general lol) so for my gameplay purposes it would make mroe sense if they were in other categories

Well, without mods, they're the only ones who can show in in apartments. Though I think the social class is a bit bugged on custom lots so gearheads show up in damned penthouses unless you use LotAdjuster.

But these social group townies have their employment prospects rigidly restricted by the class they were born into. No! No! No! That would put back all the social progress we have made in Veronaville by a hundred years!

Of course there are no doubt mods to fix some of the issues. Bur, if I'm going to mod out the main features of the EP, I think I'm better not to get it in the first place!

If you don't count the hood that comes with AL, apartments are totally optional in AL. I've never been a big fan of them, and prefer playing with residential lots, so I don't make apartments. I've occasionally built lots that look like apartment buildings, but then I tend to keep them as residentials. Witches are also a "big" AL feature, but absolutely not necessary to play with (they're already possible to mod out - I don't play on community lots much, so I rarely see them, but I do find the costumes useful for dressup/halloween).

The "social class" thing is probably just how apartments/lots are valued. I never paid any attention to this, because it doesn't seem to affect residential lots much, at least not the way I play (lots have a price tag, I don't really care how it's calculated). Same with reputation and some of the related features - they're there, but they don't affect my gameplay.

AL has features I really like, but several of those are not the main features of the pack (nobody can pry the option to freeze sims away from me, or being able to shift items up and down - it's THE features I love the most, and they're extremely useful for storytelling + decorating). There are more outside toys for kids/toddlers, too, and more toddler interactions like toddler hug and peekaboo. There's an ownable helicopter, walk-in closet, spiral staircases, ceilings, And probably several other functions I've completely forgotten belongs to AL. A lot of the TS2 packs are like this - the main features aren't always the ones you end up liking the most. Plus, nearly all mods seem to require AL/M&G these days, and it's easier not having to sort them out because of compatibility.
