Trying to lay out more of my side-hoods for my Pladdervale neighborhood. The Smith family will get its start in Valle Muyvoda after college, and Nervous will sadly find his way into Kanyo Del Krovi soon enough.

Kanyo Del Krovi: The poorer, industrial district of San Guillermo county. Originally born as a mining town, currently home to many storage facilities, factory buildings, and workplace safety violations. Nobody really chooses to live here unless they have to.
Primary careers: Criminal, Slacker, Law Enforcement, Business, Architecture

Valle Muyvoda: The quaint suburban and light commercial district of San Guillermo county. Home to a very scenic view of the almost supernaturally vast Aculot Lake. Its quiet suburban feel makes it a light tourist destination for both Alien Enthusiasts and those on their way to Las Rarezas.
Primary careers: Owned business, Education, Culinary Athletic, Politics, Law

I finally consider my custom hood playable (not finished) and oh what a ride it has been. Most families that have now settled in were created when I was 13, and had to move hoods (through bodyshop cloning) about 4-5 times until I finally decided on this one. That makes it about 7 years of learning about building, sc4 terrain shaping, lotadjusting (and I still manage to break it sometimes) and just trying things out thousands of times. I'm not 100% happy with how it turned out, but I placed some lots as rather placeholders to be exchanged according to what gameplay needs arise - we'll see! Most are built by myself, but often inspired by the buildings that I did take from someone else. Still, after 7 years of playing-not-playing and battling with various cc issues and crashing, I'm just really excited!! I named this world after Warsaw's Żoliborz, but already thought of an English alternative - Zolibore. And most neigbhourhoods and islands within it have Warsaw themed names as well. Or fruit. A lot of fruit streets. I have a million more photos but I did try to limit myself with a few! I hope the formatting is right.

Default Give me your poor, your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free!

A couple of years ago, somebody here suggested that Sims, finding the conditions of life intolerable in their native neighbourhoods, might seek sanctuary in our Veronaville. A generous but anonymous benefactor, with the full support of Her Esteemed Grace Juliette Capp, Grand Duchess of Veronaville, then commissioned the building of this statue beside the Creek in downtown Veronaville.

Sims of the World! Your future is here! You have nothing to lose but your plumbbobs!

Default Part of Eastside Veronaville, including Bard Boulevard, and Veronaville Market

I keep mentioning these houses in my posts on Mod the Sims. Some of Veronaville's best known and most influential characters live in this area. I hope this post helps you all follow what I mean when I mention these places in my posts.

KEY

1. 46 Bard Boulevard: Emma and Enid Smythe (2 elderly spinster sisters)

2. 71 Bard Boulevard: The Summerdreams (Titania, Oberon, Puck and Bottom)

3. 95 Bard Boulevard: Consort, April and Caspar Hutchins-Capp, + Seth Almassizadeh (Consort moved April out of Capp Manor in a hurry, when she was pregnant, and he thought Hermia might have 'flu. Caspar is their baby, born soon after they moved in. Seth is a business executive and a work colleague of Consort's; Seth moved in to help them at Consort's request. Consort doesn't trust the regular nannies to look after the child of his old age.)

4. 80 Bard Boulevard: The Romanovs: Nicholas, Alexandra, Olga, Tatiana, Maria, Anastasia, and Alexei. (Grand Duchess Juliette Capp granted them sanctuary in Veronaville, saving them from almost certain death at the hands of the Bolshevik revolutionaries in their native Russia.)

5. The New Changing Hut (now with a second hut for sleeping accommodation) Provides short-term accommodation for Sims who are going to become townies. (Currently staying there are Frazer Knowseley and Beatrix Keanie, who are adult friends. I expect they will soon become townies and move on.)

6. 72 Canal Walk: BJ Shaikh (The Tricou Goth teen. He wanted somewhere really secluded when he moved here, as he was in a vendetta with Charlie Benson, then a Downtownie, and he didn't want Charlie to find him.)

7. 19 Chorus Court: Gloria and Garry Jones, and Andrew Jones-Moltke & Julian Moltke-Jones (Teenager Andrew is my best friend and Gloria is his mum. Since their double church wedding in 2020, Gloria's husband Garry and Andrew's husband Julian live here too.)

8. 7 Chorus Court: Tybalt and Lexie Kauker-Capp intend to move in here and run it as a boxing-themed pub. (If I can find some boxing-themed CC!)

9. Capp Manor: Juliette and Hermia Capp. (Since both Consort and Tybalt got married an moved out, Juliette and Hermia have the place to themselves. Consort still pays them an allowance. As Grand Duchess of Veronaville, Her Esteemed Grace Juliette Capp is titular Head of State of the Grand Duchy of Veronaville.)

10. Cappland: Goneril, Albany, Miranda, Hal, Desdemona and Ariel Capp. (Consort gave Goneril the money to buy this house. He has also financed a bookshop that she runs in Bluewater.)

11. The Rectory, 426 Globe Street: Rev. Elspeth Anderson (Elspeth is the Rector [i.e. Parish Priest] of St Simeon's Parish Church. She is popular with her predominantly young congregation. Though conservative in some of her theology, Elspeth is happy to marry same-sex couples in church. She may be lesbian herself.)

A new project of mine. A Simlish TS2 interpretation of Anywhere City from the GTA2 game. I made the roads custom myself with the intent of the colour scheme being matching to the GTA2 downtown district color palette. Insofar only about 20 percent decorated and contains no lots or Sims yet. This is a project that's turning out quite good I'd say.
