Hi!

I've search the internet, asked chat gpt, and tried reading all the helpful things you post here. And playing all these years I always fixed the issues my self or found something helpful to do so. But now i'm stuck and i'm stressed about loosing one of my families in my long played generation and also potentially ruin my game completely.

So, to my issue. I've noticed and read the vacation has a lot of bugs and i've like i wrote fixed most my self or just learned how to play around it haha. But never used mods or such.

When two of my sims went on vacation after a well needed time raising their twins to kids they came back corrupted. The husband and wife went there and she started to kind of glitch in a way that she couldn't sit down without her suddenly jumping up and standing. She didn't want to enter rooms and her mood decreased fast. I had to cancel their vacation the same day, paid and called a taxi. I believe that when they left or before that I somehow ended up in the vacation neighborhood and didn't se the plumbop on the hotel they were staying at. I went back to my neighborhood and saw that they were home.

When i got there and they jump of of the taxi the wife changes to being pregnant in the last stage (she wasn't pregnant before or during the vacation) and the husbands body glitches and acts the same way the wife did in the house. When they interact there's only one option and it doesn't work. And when i play any of them to interact with the other one they both start to glitch the same way. It doesn't seem to affect the kids but i only clicked on them and didn't interrupt the kids play.

I tried playing one of their friends house to see if i can move the parents out to them. But then the friends started glitching to when visiting. I tried boolprop and even downloaded the batbox wihtout success. I copied the neighborhoud file and moved them out (didn't want to at first to not loose some belongings since I wanted to move them direct and not enter the house, grab things and save).

Does anyone recognize this specific issues? Is it only the family or is the whole game corrupted now? What can I do now? Is it possible to delete the history of traveling from the family? I have a reeeaally long family tree/generation and i love this family, gameplay and neighborhoud... Please help a sad sim player out.

Are you using any mods in your game? If you turn on debug mode (what you called 'boolprop') do you get an error message? If so, zip them up and attach them here.

Hm, mods are always downloaded right? In that case never used them. Yeah I get error message when it's turned on or when I use it to force error on the sim. You need a printcreen or an error file from documents?

If you don't have any mods or custom content in your game, the problem is likely to be with a specific sim/ lot or even a neighbourhood.

If you could test with another neighbourhood to see if you can reproduce the issue, that could help us too.

Okay so I think I managed to zip it up correctly

Check your sims' aspirations- could be that someone has no aspiration set.

Oh yes! Now that you say it i do remember seeing that the icon chosen for aspiration is missing for at least one of them. How do i fix that then? and do you think i need to do it for both of them then?

Check them both- you can either give them a new aspiration using SimPE, or else there are a number of in-game mods you could use to do this also. I personally like the SimBlender, which you can download here (choose your latest EP):

The Renu-yu-senso orb aspiration reward will do it too but you might not be able to get your sim to use it in-game, if they are erroring so much.

can it be done with the batbox? since i already have that one and not don't know much about the tech stuff XD

Do you think that doing this it should fix all the glitching? what about the pregnancy?

Oh, I thought you mentioned you didn't have any mods in-game. No, I don't think batbox has an option for changing aspiration. If you know how to use the testing cheats, you could shift-click on your sim and spawn the Sim Modder, which will do it.


No idea about the pregnancy, it could just have been the sim's state glitching with the errors. If you fix the aspiration it should stop one of the errors you were getting, but each sim with the problem needs to be fixed.

And can i do anything about this glitch that probably came from the vacation? meaning, can't it ruin more sims if they travel there?

Sim Blender can set aspiration, or you can just use the aspiration reward.

This has nothing to do with vacations, it's just something that happens randomly for no known reason. Just fix it when it happens and it's fine.

Try using the aspiration reward orb first to correct the problem, and if that doesn't work download the SimBlender I linked. Fix their aspirations, and then see what the game runs like. It seems to be a glitch that people report happening from time to time, although I've never had it happen in my game. Keep frequent backups and so if anything like this happens again, you can revert to your most recent backup.

I think I actually fixed the aspiration problems with the reward orb but i keep playing and seeing what happens with the bump cause she is fully pregnant, haven't given birth yet and they can still try for a baby in the options.. So I might need to download simblender to cancel the pregnancy especially if she's stuck in that stage..

If she can try for baby, she's not actually pregnant. The body flags will probably get set correctly the next time she actually is.

Thats what im thinking to.. But im not planning on her getting pregnant anymore.. Can i kind of force/reset the body any other way? Ive sent her to work but shes still in the same state..

You can just uncheck it in SimPE.
