Default WCIF > Mod to allow teens to ask sims and Bigfoot to move in
What it says in the title. I want to allow my teen to ask Bigfoot to move in. But other sims too.

So usually you just have to be friends with Bigfoot in order to ask him to move in.

For teens specifically, you might need a mod because teens typically aren't able to move in other sims at all. So try befriending Bigfoot first and if that doesn't work for teens, then also try Syberspunk's Move In All or the one updated for the UC by Dreadpirate.

Or you could set the teen as Independent with Simblender or another mod, and then the teen should be able to move in Bigfoot (because Independent Teens are treated as adults by the game.)

For years I have been looking for an update to pinhead's Move In All that would allow me to install the Pets EP. I had no idea that Syberspunk had taken over the mod. Thank you very much for this information. It looks like my Sims may soon be able to experience the delights of keeping cats and dogs. They've been missing out in this experience for years. I must tell them the good news!

I have used the Sim Manipulator to temporarily make a teenage Sim "Independent" to allow them to get married. I did this to allow my original Sim Andrew to marry his long term boyfriend Julian. I also have Jenflower's WooHoo Teens. With the two mods together I only had to make Andrew an Independent teen; Julian stayed an ordinary teen throughout, and I made Andrew back into an ordinary teen when the ceremony was over. It did have the odd effect that Andrew spoke with a deeper voice than usual on the day of his wedding. But that might just have been nerves!

Thank you again!!

Oh, @AndrewGloria I had no idea you were looking for an updated mod! I remember us talking about Pinhead's version in an older thread but I had no idea you were still looking for a later version and actually considering installing a newer EP. I found Syberspunk's mod years ago--I wish you posted a WCIF--I might have seen it then and let you know about it!

So you actually decided on installing Pets, then? Is it too late to convince you to go with M&G or AL instead? That way you can download whatever you want without worrying new EP features will change things too much. Anyway, definitely let us know if there was anything else you were searching for and let us know how Pets goes!

He has UC, but doesn't want to use it.

I also already told him about the updated hack lol. Proof that people like posts they haven't read?

I like a lot of posts; doesn't mean I'll remember what I read later on!

Sometimes I search for a solution to some issue I'm having in-game, only to find the solution in one of my own posts from 10 years ago. And sometimes from 2 weeks ago!

Almost certainly yes, but not immediately. I have now over 80 active playable households in Veronaville, plus goodness knows how any in my other 'hoods. Installing Pets will almost certainly cause a game reset, and I don't want t lose anything. At the time of posting I have some 13 households in Veronaville that haven't been played since 2022, and 23 not played since 2023. I really want to play each of those for at least 24 Sim hours before installing Pets. I actually bought the Pets EP disc from CEX -some time ago. I think it was in 2024. I've also got most of the SPs that use the Pets game engine. Once I've got Pets working I'll see about installing them too. Probably not K&B though. It seems it has a problem with the NixNivis trampolines, so that I'd need to get FreeTime to use the trampolines. I reckon my Sims and I want the trampolines more than we want any fancy kitchen or bathroom fittings!

In my Simming time, I think my priority should really be to get Veronaville up to date before adding a new EP. 3+ years is really a ridiculous time to take for a rotation!

For most of my own life we've had dogs -- or cats -- or both! Including some very affectionate and loving cats. And a rather aloof and disdainful little dog -- breaking the old stereotypes. I'm sure many of my Sims could learn to love them too. (A little bird tells me that Julian is a petlover.)

Not just now anyway! I'm sure there are things in those EPs I'd like. But there's a lot I'd only want to mod out. I'm just not interested in the supernatural stuff. And I don't want things that would endanger the lives of my Sims. Anyway I really don't want to add all the EPs at once. I fear I'd be overwhelmed -- and my Sims could be too. I'm sure it will take us while to get used to keeping pets. The rest can wait.

Somehow I think I must have missed that. Which surprises me a little, as I generally do read and pay attention to your posts. I recall it was you who introduced me to some of the adult stuff on the the late lamented Back Alley Sims, like Chris Hatch's bouquet. For better or for worse, that has definitely transformed some of my Sims' lives. (Mrs. Crumplebottom says, "Definitely for worse!".)

I think I'll start a thread about starting to play with the Pets EP, the same as I did before installing OFB and University.

I think it was Garry, actually. Julian liked fireflies.

@AndrewGloria if you're checking all your households first, be sure to take notes for any money mods that you may have installed! Christianlov's wallet, Monique's computer, etc. That's the thing that usually gets me when there's a reset for my game--I take out a folder by accident while organizing or troubleshooting and then poof, the whole neighborhood's savings are gone. Not sure that that'd happen here since you're installing an EP, not removing a folder/files, but never hurts to be prepared, right?
