Default Look at me / Look at Camera
I'm pretty sure that some time in the last couple of years or so, I've seen a little mod that added a "Look at me" or "Look at Camera" action to a Sim's pie menu. I'd like to be able to use it occasionally when I'm taking a Sim's photo. I suppose I could look at poseboxes, but I feel they would interfere too much with their spontaneity for my liking. Anyway, experts of Veronaville constitutional law tell me that poseboxes are likely to infringe my Sims' inalienable constitutional right to liberty.

So can anyone tell me where I might find this little mod?

This one?

Epi has an edited version here:

(My biggest complaint about this one is that it doesn't work for toddlers, babies or pets. Have tried to modify it, but alas, no... Other than that, I use it all the time for photos, it's awesome!)

Other options are the SimTurner

Longr duration (for the SimTurner)

This posebox can also help, if you need spesific head turns:

@simmer22 : Thank you for your prompt and helpful reply.

I have downloaded and installed Epi's revised version of MSD's original, but I have also thanked MSD for creating the original. I haven't actually tried it out yet, but I'm sure it will be useful for things like this recent picture of the Fleming family outside the temporary downtown accommodation they were about to leave. I took that picture just using the "Go here" interaction, but they kept wanting to go somewhere else (like go and play on the swing in the back yard!). Of course I could have turned Free Will off, but I feel that my Sims tend to look a bit "wooden" without Free Will. I actually prefer them to fidget a bit, when they're supposed to be holding a pose, like they do in CAS (and like I did in that 1960 school class photo).

I'll have to see how it works out in practice. I may not need them to hold the pose for as long as 20 seconds, as always pause the game to take pictures. So it's quite likely that I will modify the BCON to make it shorter (or even possibly make it longer!). I may even revert to MSD's original version, where (if I understand the readme properly) the Sim only looks in the requested direction for about 3 seconds.

I usually pair the "Look at me" with the freezer clock (needs AL), especially if taking pictures of more than one sim. That way you can more easily pose multiple sims within the timeframe they're looking at the camera, and stop them from doing "oh look, another sim/pet! *turn head, big grin*"

You can also do more elaborate shots where you do "look at me" for one sim using the free camera (tab), pause, freeze the sim, then pose the next sim. That way you can get them to look in different directions (but controlled).

(If there are children or pets on the lot, make sure to leave at least one teen or above unfrozen - both for the state of the lot, and also if you don't have mods to stop kids/pets being taken if left unattended).
