I experimented with transferring an easel and paintings into another lot through the inventory some time ago, and had a borked loading screen ever since. Only now I put two and two together. When the objects were removed, the loading screen returned to showing the correct car.

I've actually seen people wondering how to change the car that appears on the loading screen. I guess the answer might be to put the desired car into the global inventory first? Interesting.

In FreeTime when constellations and planets were added, the telescope doesn't give enough logic skill for any nighttime activity because of a bug. The skill gain should be 150 and 200 for the two telescopes respectively, but it is only 100. Skill from looking through during the day remains higher.

LOL, you get higher logic skill for making the not logical decision to spy on your neighbour.

You can lock the doors, and the person doesn't always come. You also look at some other stuff besides the neighbor. Daytime skilling counts as a fun object, and you will exit when hunger/bladded/hygiene drops below 0. I have changed daytime activity to give only a bit of logic and no enthusiasm. Maybe it could be made to work like "birdwatching" if you had nature enthusiasm.

If you place tall tree near a low house, the diamond symbol on the neighborhood view will rise way up to account for the height of the tree.

I can place two dim lamps like the prisoner of azkaban on top of each other with cheats to make them a little brighter on objects.

I discovered how to rename objects using the FreeTime novel dialog 54. I will update the editor after a bit of testing.

With moveobjects on, can place an invisible cash register on Jacky93's food stands (well, on the floor inside it). It throws an error when loading the lot but can reset and it works

Sims blocked from reaching Lamare's washers/dryers will dump laundry on floor

Teenage parents are unable to hold their infants in family portraits. The infant can outright disappear.

I've noticed other instances where the babies don't show as well. I always kill off the beakers after they have a baby and have Nervous move in with Olive and the babies never show in the family portraits.

So I had my first-ever college dropout. He was a senior, and already engaged; but he was also a Romance sim, as is his bride, and they needed money for their house. So, after drinking anti-jealousy potions, they each called such lovers as they currently had positive relationships with, moved them in, gussied them up, gave them degrees with the batbox, and townified them, keeping the money. (Yes, I know it sounds complicated; but they're from wealthy families and ought to have money, and this cycles out dormies so their grandchildren will never go out with the same people.) But the drop-out, having proposed to his fiancee in front of all his lovers, only had one girfriend who would accept his invitation, and when I went to give her a degree -- the option did not appear on the batbox! I checked her skills and she had nothing like enough skill points to squeak by in any degree, at most two points in any skill.

I have no idea whether this is a direct result of MJ having dropped out (I know that moved-in dormies are supposed to have the same degree as the sim who moved them in, it's just never worked that way for me and I always had to use the batbox), or if the random assignment of skills just doesn't give some dormies enough to pass and the batbox recognizes that.

Well, first of all, simply transitioning dormies into proper adults before putting them right back into the townie pool will not prevent your future generations from dating them.

Second of all, sims probably have to be adults or elders to given a degree with the batbox.

I've never heard of any mechanic where dormies are supposed to have same the same degree as a sim they move in with, and it's never happened before in my game. Presumably they get a few random skills when they get initialized. Are you maybe thinking of the mechanic where if your graduated adult sim moves in a dormie by getting married to them, they get given a degree?

It prevents them from dating them as YAs while in college. And the plan is to age them to elders, and eventually make everybody playable and have an old folks' home.

And they are adults after they get moved in so yes, the batbox gives them degrees just fine. I do it all the time, and all of the graduated bride's exes moved in, grew up, and got batboxed without issue. I have never moved in a dormie by marrying them because I thought you couldn't: I tried doing this with a graduated but not moved home playable once early in my career, and didn't get the marriage option till she moved in and grew up, so I concluded that YAs probably just couldn't be married. I don't see why marrying in a dormie and marrying in a playable should work differently, but it doesn't have to make sense to me.

I'm still not going to do it that way -- God knows what awful random wedding clothes they'd have!

YAs can date adults. Dormies will not transition to adult when you move them in on campus, they will remain YAs. And yes, your playable has be an adult in order to get married, but they are able to marry an unplayable dormie. You can't marry or move in a playable college student, because you have to actually play them through college, but dormies are different, you are meant to marry them.

What I don't want is for the next generation of YA playables to have the same dormie dating pool as this one did. If the townies are still adults when the next generation grows up, they're fair game. I can and will age them to elder when the time is right, when the generation that knew them in college starts growing to elder.

I know all about moving in dormies on campus; that's not what I'm talking about. Every single dormie I've married in to date got grown up on campus and played through college.

Because of that time I tried to marry a playable YA who, though graduated, was still on campus, and could not get the "get married" option, I thought that marrying a YA was impossible without a mod.

After your sim graduates, you can invite a dormie over to their new home in the main hood and propose move in. They will then grow to adult, but will not have a degree. (They must be moved in with the in-game mechanic of inviting and proposing; using the teleporter does not work.) The Upgrade option is available on the batbox.

The dormie who grew up when invited and proposed by the adult who dropped out is the first one who hasn't had the Upgrade option available, and her age icon sequence matched his -- YA with a red ex. Her skill points were also very low.

Sorry not to be clear the first time.

Yes, if they are marked on the UI as having dropped out, that means they are flagged that way and obviously you can't give them a degree then.

I tested it out in a test hood, and it does appear that if a sim who dropped out moves in a dormie, the dormie is also flagged as having dropped out. If a graduated sim moves in a dormie, the dormie is flagged as having graduated, but isn't properly given the degree, so the option still appears on the batbox.
