You can recategorize clothes so they're available in more categories. That's what I do, anyway.

In SimPE you change the "category" value in the Property Set to whatever you want it to be (without the mod, you need to keep everyday for everything, or the items can't be bought, or found in CAS).

They're Hex numbers, but the only ones you have to use a letter for is if you want everyday + swim. Otherwise just add the numbers together to get the categories you want.

Everyday=7 *
Swim=8 *
PJs=10
Formal=20
Undies=40
Maternity=100
Athletic=200
Outerwear=1000

* everyday + swim = F (15 in decimal is F in Hex, so you'd put it at the end, for instance if you want athletic+everyday+swim it's 20F. All these categories together would be 137F, so you shouldn't end up with a higher number than this).

Pick'n'mix has a clothing organizer that's reasonably easy to use (easier than SimPE anyway, and if you load everything in Bodyshop frst, there's also thumbnails of the items) - https://www.picknmixmods.com/Sims2/...tOrganiser.html

There's also the Wardrobe Wrangler, though I can't remember if it can recategorize separates to other categories.

Wardrobe Wrangler doesn't let you recategorise separates to categories other than Everyday, because, at the time it was written, nobody realised that it was possible. However, once I've recategorised separates in SimPE, I then look at them in Wardrobe Wrangler and I can see if I've done it right. I probably ought to change to using the Pick'n'Mix clothing organiser, which is much newer than Wardrobe Wrangler.

At one time I thought that Wardrobe Wrangler didn't work with separates in categories other than Everyday, and I posted here to say so. That was after it crashed when I was trying to look at one piece of recategorised clothing. However I've since used it to look at lots of other recategorised separates, and it's never crashed since. So I guess it must have been a rogue CC clothing item that made it crash. So I apologise if I started a false rumour.

It is possible to recategorise clothing in this way without any mods, so I'm not sure of the purpose of the Separates for All mod. It requires a no-CD version of Mansions & Gardens, so I'm never likely to get it. If one of my Sims wants to buy two separate parts to make up a bikini, they have to buy the top and bottom as Everyday items, which sets them back a cool §400! Some of my impoverished Sims think that that's daylight robbery! I suppose LazyDuchess's mod lets them buy it for something nearer the normal price, though I suspect they'll still pay twice as much as buying a bikini as a single item. If any of my Sims are really struggling to pay §400 for a swimsuit, then I'll use a money cheat to reimburse the difference. (I generally try to treat my Sims as I would want to be treated if our places were reversed!) And there are if course mods that let Sims "buy" clothes for free (including christianlov's Gussy Up).

It enables separates from other categories "properly", so they're more available via various menus (and CAS? Not sure...) witout having to also categorize as everyday.

(Personally I don't use the mod, although it does mean the Everyday category gets a bit cluttered - but then again, a lot of separates can be used in Everyday if you pair them properly, so I don't mind it too much. Neat for dressing/undressing purposes. I also have a tendency to "over-categorize" clothes in categories they normally wouldn't go, because it's useful for storytelling purposes. PJs/undies/Swim in particular are great for storing clothes, especially if I need to change someone's outfit or hair mid-pose for composing/editing purposes).

I tend to over-categorise too. I have quite a few CC items in all six categories. (Not having Seasons, I don't have outerwear, but then, without Seasons, it's never cold enough to need it!) I'm sure you've all seen in my pictures how my Sims tend to dress -- they're seldom guilty of overdressing! I categorise things as underwear so my poor Sims can buy them for §50! And then wear them for Everyday!! And a lot of them see no reason why they shouldn't go into town in a skimpy pair of briefs, especially if they're going into a nightclub when they get there. (They may of course stop of at supermarket to buy food on the way. Or call at the swimming pool for a shower on the way home.) Formal occasions are quite rare in my game, so my Sims can use the Formal category for quick-change outfits, which may really be semi-formal (like Andrew's school shirt and grey shorts). The PJs category is also useful, as most of my Sims sleep in their undies. The athletic category can also be useful, to change into something at least semi-decent, if they get an unexpected visitor!

Sorry for going a wee bit off-topic!
