Default Inquiry about how much interest is in TS2 console to TS2 PC content
I wasn't sure if this inquiry should be in the create section or in general, but for sake of it I'm putting it here.

basically my question is, how much interest does the PC audience have in Console to PC ports of content? Currently I have hundreds of texture files, dozens of unique sound files, and I've been able to extract a few meshes all from The Sims 2 console version. The meshes are currently just files, and haven't been implemented into the PC version (yet) and simply don't really function. The texture and sound files would be rather easy for me to implement and upload here to MTS. Meshes, that's a bit beyond my realm and the console meshes, well they're a bit 'rough' around the edges.

Texture files are pathetically small in the console edition, thanks to the limited memory of the PlayStation 2. They're typically 64x64, with the largest I've seen being in the 256x128 range. This means they'd look ugly in the PC edition of the game without proper AI upscaling. Now, I do have an AI upscale model I wrote myself awhile ago with the intent of making proper upscales of small PS2 textures, but the algorithm is in its infancy and only provides decent results half of the time, however the results if does produce that are good tend to be much better than popular ESRGAN-based models.

Anyway, the question is, as I dive deeper into my interesting modding the Console versions of The Sims series, I am wondering how much interest there would be in porting over the unique console-exclusive content of TS2 and TS2 Pets (PlayStation 2 ver.) to the PC edition, if any?

I would love these things! I use a lot of 1t2, Stories and Urbz stuff that people have made, and am always keeping my eye out for other converted stuff from console or other Sims versions.
Edit: Forgot to add, check out https://madraynesims.tumblr.com/ as they are quite a prolific converter, and have done some items from console already.

As you may have noticed looking at pictures I post, I have a lot of skimpy Castaway outfits in my game. (I'm forgetting who converted them -- somebody please remind me!) Currently I only have the teen and child clothes in my game, but I certainly intend to add adult and elder outfits too.

So, in principle, yes, I am interested.

A couple of minor issues (well, maybe not so minor for me!). Please bear in mind those of us who don't have (or in my case even want) AL and M&G. It can be frustrating when I see things that I'd like but can't use. Secondly, even though these things are made by Maxis, I'd prefer them to have the CC star, to prevent me inadvertently using them in a "CC-free" entry in a contest. Often though I re-make them myself in Body Shop, as I don't think many of my modern Sims want to wear war paint or tattoos.

But in principle, I'm interested and I'd like to see what you do.

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

Thank you for that link! It'll provide very useful in determining which files I work on. I do see that wallpaper from TS2 console is one of the things that has been ported, but I'm curious to see how those ports would compare to my upscaled textures. So that'll be the first thing I take a look at since it would be the easiest.

EDIT: I did take a look at the Bustin' Out walls that creator had ported over out of curiosity. No disrespect to the author but the walls are quit rubbish quality. The walls are better than the default PS2 textures, so I'll give them a bone there, but I'll let the comparison images below do the talking. Top one is their content, the bottom second one below is my attempt.

Any content I port will be BG-compatible unless absolutely necessary. You have my honest word on that.
