That sounds normal if the families in your town all know each other well as is often the case in a small community.I've seen some of that in my BACC which is a very small town with only two couples living there on homesteads.

I think I've seen sims roll this want for other sims not in their household, but generally it's for sims the game considers family (usually grandchildren), and I've also seen grandparents roll wants to interact with baby grandchildren who they have not even met. This just seemed odd because they weren't considered related.

It seems to be the latest gossip created (Grew up well) what triggered that want.

Is there any way to keep trees placed indoors from changing with the seasons? It hardly is appropriate to see the ornamental trees inside a concourse bare in the winter or shedding leaves everywhere in the fall, and I don't want to always have to use pines or tropical plants if I want them to keep their appearance year-round!

Hmm, I know trees in a greenhouse don't change; I would think that they wouldn't change indoors either. Is the area completely enclosed? Otherwise I'd try putting down a fence--that keeps the leaves from shedding, idk if it'd work for the changing seasons. Or, is there an invisible greenhouse wall???

The only other thing I can think of is that the teen is adopted and the wanter also has children who are adopted.

It is normal and has nothing to do with gossip. Whenever a significant event happens to a sim including aging up 1 day the game 'broadcasts' the event to all neighbours that have a relationship with the sim specifically to trigger relevant wants/fears.

LOL! I have a house I built with a tree on the roof... it sheds it's leaves below it - inside the house! Oi! ...and it has the low zig-zag edger fence around it too.
Very annoying *grumble*

Someone please remind me, how do you manually fulfil a want or a fear. I know it's some sort of modified click, but is it Control-Click, Shift-Click, Alt-Click or what. Does Boolprop TestingCheatsEnabled have to be on. I've done it a few times before, but I can't remember how.

Ravi wants to go out. Well he's on an outing with a lot of other teen boys. So by my way of thinking he's gone out. So I want to fulfil his want. Please help him; he's a good kid and he deserves it.

Control Shift C doesn't work anymore with the latest Windows update. It now only works with Control Shift Windows C. Any way to change it back?

This sounds like you are on a laptop and your key bindings have changed. You'll need to find out how to change those for your laptop.

Thanks RoxEllen! That's got Ravi back into platinum aspiration where ought to be.

I'm not sure how the rest of the outing will go though. They've gone to Sugar Cube Bowls, a venue none of my Sims have visited before. The first thing Ravi did on arrival; was to go to the toilet -- because he needed. All the other 6 boys in his party trooped into the rather small male facilities there after him! I fear that, by the time he squeezes and fights his way past them all, the three hours initially allowed for the outing will be up!

You can see his problem:

I have a desktop. After upgrading to Windows 10 Version 2004, the keys suddenly changed. I have no idea what might have changed or how to fix it or if it even can be fixed.

Well. It wouldn't be the sims without the good ole toilet party.

No idea why MS would change something like this. Anyway, I found this: https://winaero.com/blog/change-hot...out-windows-10/ which I think will allow you to fix it. Not positive as I run about 5 updates behind.

Found the problem! Windows Update downloaded new drivers and software for my video card that had the recording shortcut as Control Shift C. I changed it to Control Shift P and now I can open the cheat console in Sims 2 again. Might be useful for others with AMD graphics to know?

Does someone know the exact steps to take with @Chris Hatch Globe?

I selected the globe, exited to hood view without saving and tried to load the lot again and it crashed. (this is an unowned community lot)

Should the lot be saved or not saved directly after using the globe?
Should the lot be loaded again after using the globe saved and then packaged?

Ravi's outing was a success after all. He got past the three boys blocking his path by kissing each of them in turn. The red-haired one, Gordon is one of his boyfriends. The other two, Don and Weldon are his half-brothers. (Ravi, Don and Weldon are illegitimate children of the late Jon Smith Tricou.) Jack Gill helped by going to the dance floor and calling some of the other boys to come over and join him. Once the boys reached the bowling alleys and started to play they never looked back. Eventually they moved on the the restaurant at the Gaia nightclub, when they enjoyed a delicious meal ending in many toasts. Despite its inauspicious start, the outing was a rockin' success, and Ravi gained a charisma point.

@AndrewGloria what is the question? Or did you solve something?

Yup, completely enclosed and 10 stories up in a skyscraper, and still trying to be "seasonal."

Then I got nothing, Zarathustra! Seems like the only way to go is to use a cc tree that isn't seasonal.

Jo, my question was back in post #24335, asking how to manually fulfil a want or a fear, because I'd forgotten how to do it. RoxEllen answered me. My subsequent posts are really just "matters arising", though I did wonder at one point how Ravi was going to get out of that toilet before the Outing Timer ran out. Kissing the boys who were in the way turned out to be the answer to that one!

Glad you got your problem solved, I hope I can mine.
At first I thought you had the wrong thread and were posting a 'what is happening in my game' post.

If you place the tree on the Magisplay tray, the trees won't shed leaves, but it does still change appearance according to season.

Is there any way to stop Sims from snapping to each other and climbing on each other when I place them so close to each other? It's really annoying when you're trying to do a group picture and they start defying gravity when you try and move them closer together.

Not my idea of hanging out.
