I've taken advantage of the time extension to add a couple of extra pictures to my entry. They were both taken after Josh opened the shop for business. One shows the first customer -- appropriately enough a child. The other shows Josh sitting at his desk on the production floor. He had gone in on his own to make a few more toys. On his way home, at my request, he stopped off at the Gaia LGBT nightclub in downtown Veronaville so I could photograph the restaurant swing doors there.


Josh is glad he went to Gaia on the way home. He's discovered that he's good at working the DJ desk there. He was popular with the clubbers there too, many of whom came down from the restaurant just to dance to the discs he was spinning. He enjoyed himself, and, more importantly, he earned over §500 which he'll plough back into his toy business. It's helped to cheer him up after getting a bad review in the Veronaville Courant. If he ever starts another business, he thinks it might be a disco!

Oh no @joandsarah77 What's the problem?

It started with Sims 2 going pink for reasons I couldnt find. Then I have been sent Linex on a new SSD. Trying to set that up with my IT friend remotely I have had issues going back and forth from Windows to Linex. Windows would not load at all for a while yesterday. So that part I hope is fixed, otherwise I would not be on here.
I managed to log into Discord on Linex and now I can't log into it on Windows, so I am concerned if anything else should go wrong. So its more a heads up. I have barely looked at the contest the last few days.

Entry/Application, Round 1

Josh's Floral Fancies





After looking out his window one day, Josh decided he liked flowers enough to make a shop based entirely around them and that flowers and plants are a great business opportunity especially on romantic holidays

Josh started a small shop called Floral Fancies which specialises in both bouquets and flower arrangements and potted plants. He hopes in the future to add a greenhouse and garden behind the shop as currently he has to have flowers delivered fresh daily to accomidate his floral arrangement orders
Josh also believes in safety so he had those lovely illuminated exit signs installed plus they're green :D

Rules question: can I use the contest timer extension to make changes to my shop and upload new pictures to replace the old?

Strike that, I thought we had more time! Perhaps the judges won't notice the problem I spotted!

Sorry for the late reply, Jo It is 8h30 am here, I have extended the round until midnight tonight, so that is another 15 and a half hours.

I could have told all of you to build a toy shop and they all would have been different Thank you for the effort everyone put into this.

@Pebblerocker - yes, you can change it until the round ends. Requirements are only 5 points and I check those, the judges do the rest. You still have around 15 hours! If it is a small thing, it should still be doable. (I have not checked the entries yet).

@AndrewGloria - Good idea

If @joandsarah cannot judge, somebody has offered to stand in. I will confirm if that simmer can stand in this week. If not, I will be the emergency judge myself (wishing myself strength).

We will also stick to the original timeline - I will start the next round soon. Please start planning and building for round 2 in the meantime!

Just a quick note though, I don't have MS Office to open that spreadsheet template you provided much earlier; I've been using OpenOffice to edit it.

Okay, I've updated my pictures! I thought I'd missed the deadline and would have to live with what I'd managed to get in. I'm much happier with the improvement I'd made - and there was no point using my budget on that vase if I was going to accidentally leave it behind a chair where it was barely visible. @HarVee, please make sure you look at the updated pics featuring furniture that doesn't clip through things!

I added two new pictures but didn't change any of the existing ones. Little Brayden Chisholm, the first customer to buy something, was too good to miss!

I also corrected a lot of typos; clearly I was only half awake when I first posted my entry!

Okay. I wanted to keep it all on one entry per page for you, but interior has skipped to the next.

You could always do what I'm doing. Make a general comment under the contestant's name, then under each of the categories a small note of why you gave it that score.

I can send you a PM with a screenshot of how I've set mine up if you think it might help you... and if it's okay by the rules too of course.

And yes, editing the tables can be tricky. I've had to enlarge them a big to fit my comments in there.

It is absolutely fine with me. As long as I can see the comments for each contestant, it will work for me.
