I was actually going to make a car dealership before, but couldnt find community lot cars. I've yet to see if changing a res lot to community with awesomemod's "dont remove crap" function will work. I have a suspicion sims would be able to steal the cars.

Can sms wohoo on community lots? If so, I'm totally gonna build a brothel.

ooh those are very helpful!
I think I'm going to build a butterfly garden

I so deeply miss all our cool TS2 objects though
I'm especially missing apartment life today because of the architecture... that should have been one of the first even for TS2... *sigh*

I'm pretty sure they can. I think you can even make them do it in City Hall. I don't remember exactly how. I think you right click on City Hall.

Paintball park
Strip Club
Night Club
Flower Shop (get your sweetie flowers after spending all night at the strip club!)
Video Store
MegaMart (aka Walmart)
Ethnic restaurants
Community college
Foo foo shop
Art gallery/store
Auto parts store -- especially if we ever get the rebuildable car again.
Clothing store -- especially if sims have to buy their clothes again.
Real Estate Office
Hardware Store

Just drive down the main street of your town and see what businesses are there. Plus, anything from the buy or build menu really should have a corresponding store.

Ooooo Sticky! I was very sad when this thread withered and died because I thought it had a lot of potential!

How about with WA, you can make a campsite for your Sims to live in?

For very small towns, instead of a school rabbithole you can have a "library" lot that functions as a school/kindergarden/youth center. I'm working on one like this right now. I'm planning four major rooms: a study room with desks (for homework), a reading room, a play room for toddlers (the "kindergarden") and an arts room.

You can also make a gas station by placing lots of parking areas on a lot, put a bathroom and a diner next to it, and make it a rest stop.

I might make a science museum with all the collectibles: geology room, astronomy room, entomology room and a little botanical garden with a pond.

I saw a motel for download somewhere. Since you can put beds on community lots, there's no reason not to, except I can't think of a way to enforce payment. It would also provide a place for sims with commitment issues to hide their cheating ways. You can't always be taking your mistresses to WooHoo in the judge's chambers in City Hall, it's very unsanitary, and the judge might not be thrilled.

I'm also thinking of making a park near the beach where teens can... park. The sad absence of car WooHoo makes this less functional, but it's a good place for teen sims to take their dates, and the parking rows add atmosphere.

lifeisforliving, you're not in any position to tell other people what to do with their games.

Stuff for TS2 · TS3 · TS4 | Please do not PM me with technical questions – we have Create forums for that.

I wish my sims could play pool, go bowling, and I really want an amusement park with a roller coaster and a ferris wheel and bottle smashing games.

All of the community lots I could've thought of are already listed, but I did come up with some residential lot ideas.
- Fairies' home (like a tucked away cottage with lots of flowers and a medieval feel)
- Vampires' home (with coffins, skeletons, etc.)
- Inventor's house (with SimBots, work benches, etc.)
- Alien home
- Haunted house (with lots of ghosts)
- Witches' house

Here for some fantasy locations for those bulding fantasy worlds ^^

Happy jappy/pinky bubblegum-ish worlds:
candy park
food stores with candy floss pavilion
"pink" place
sunny beach

Alice in wonderland-ish worlds:
"huge plants path"
Complicated Mazes
Tea Palace
Overdimentioned castles with a three story throne room and huge windows
"Crazy house"

Dark, foggy vampire worlds:
Big graveyard
Several tombs with intricate vampire/family stories to follow
Gypsy caravan/hut
Mauloseum lots for the biggest families
Vampire clubs/bars or "dark hangouts"

With the addition of resorts from IP I'm going to be creating a bed and breakfast that will be functional.
