1: Do you have OneDrive active? If it synchs with your game an fills up the available space, it doesn't properly save the game.

2: Which game version do you have? (If you have the Mac version, it has a file limit which can cause gliches like this).

3: Have you edited sims in this (or other) neighborhoods in SimPE recently?

4: Do you have a recent backup?

1. Yes I have One Drive active and I dont know how to turn it off
2. Game Version I have now is the one from Origin, I found the installer using third party website but now DMCAed
3. i am not sure, I only change their household names, and change their genes because they just got plastic surgery.
4. i have the back up, but if I inserted his file back to neighborhood I am afraid I will lose the baby.

I would not recommend trying to replace one sim file into your hood from a backup. Much safer to return the whole hood to the state it was in before the glitch happened.

Yeah I agree with you but I am still curious what OneDrive has to do with the sims 2 though, like what Simmer22 said, so I am waiting for the reply haha, I am cloning my playable right now, and start over from beginning, hopefully turned out well this time. I have them from previous installer and then I copied them to new installer, so I think it's best to start over with the new installer.

OneDrive corrupts your neighborhoods. If you don't uninstall it, it will continue to do this.

No wonder!! No wonder my previous installer did this too.... gosh, it came naturally with windows 10 so I assumed it will be fine, I have it on for over 1.5 years now -,-. Okay uninstalled it, and hope for the best, thanks Kestrel! Now I feel silly to keep running neighborhood check xD

Offtopic, but OneDrive does more harm than good lately. For example, I can't start an executable (e.g. an installer) from any location that OneDrive backs up (and the same goes for TS2 save games, some .cpp files for VS Code etc.).

I have an "offline" documents folder I created by moving the Windows documents folder there and then excluding that folder from the OneDrive backup, after millions of desperate warnings that my life's one big grave error if I proceed doing that. Everything works once I've moved the "actual" stuff there (by actual, I mean anything other than .doc, .txt and .xml files that apparently are the only thing computers are for, according to the cloud service)...

Jonain päivänä mä toivon, että pääsen käymään Suomessa – ja heti perillä unohdan kaiken, mitä oon oppinut suomen kielestä, ja sanon vaan 'kahvia'.

Not that OneDrive is actually competent, but Documents is supposed to be for, well, documents, and programs are meant to go in Program Files. That's the basic organizational philosophy that the Windows filesystem was designed around.
