Default Pool Lane dividers - do not appear in my catalog.
celebkiriedhel had these deco pool lane dividers, which I remember trying out years ago, and not being able to get them to show up. The pool lane tiles are fine, but the deco floats are not present in Deco>Misc. as intended... at least not for me.

However, at least one other person was able to place them in their game, although apparently they caused things to seize up (I had to go to the "thanks" section of comments to see this):
When I had put it in my business lot swimming pool, the game just stopped (didn't crash, just stopped like I turned the first gear of time and nothing was hapening, the hour was frozen and my Sims too). So then I decided to turn on the boolprop testing.... and right after that the error window appeared (you know, with the options "Cancel", "Reset" and "Delete"). I couldn't reset it because it was appearing all the time. So I had to delete it. If it would be helpful, I've got the screenshot of that window with error.

The fix, (aided by NixNivis and Leefish?), was subsequently sent to the above poster for testing, but since no further comments took place, I had assumed that it was the fixed package that was afterwards posted, with instructions to replace the original one.

I've tried downloading the original; I've tried downloading the fixed one; nothing appears in my catalog. I even tried looking for them on a Resi lot - in case it was one of those items - but to no avail. It's supposedly made from scratch, so there shouldn't be any missing meshes to install. Anyone feel like poking around inside it to see if anything's obviously amiss?

P.S. If someone IS able to find it in their catalog, kindly post a screenshot of that catalog page. Occasionally there are items with less-than-obvious catalog icons... Usually only giant statues and the like, though.

The screenshot is from the download page, not my game.

Do you have Nightlife installed?

It's most likely Nightlife, if you lack it.

A while back I was going through some of my old stuff and realized I had troubles getting these to show up, but turned out I had the old/faulty version installed, and they did show up without errors after replacing them with the fixed ones.

(Thought it was in Deco/rugs, but it's in Deco/Misc, I'd just recategorized it to somewhere else so my file said a different thing)
Me? Sarcastic? Never.

I do in fact have Nightlife installed. Nightlife, Uni, Seasons.

I just went through the whole deco catalog (with "all" selected), one page at a time, and it's not there.

Even if I had the ones that were freezing, they'd still show up, I'm assuming. Shrug.

They show for me and work just fine, also.

Do you have the folders nested very deeply? Also, just as a note (maybe it's not relevant) but the files show for me as 127kb for the mesh and 88kb for the recolours, whereas yours are 130 and 90 respectively. Just a difference in the file browsers/ OS maybe?

Did you unpack them from the zip files? Just asking since the folder (?) names seem to be the exact same as the zip names.

Are you sure you downloaded the new version (and have removed the old files)?

OKAY, just to be on the safe side, I re-downloaded both of those again, and unzipped them (or un-rar'd them) into a new folder, on my desktop, so there'd be no clutter to confuse the issue. As you can see, there are no .rar files present.

The downloads:
The "pool-lane-dividers-MAS.rar" unzipped to a folder with the same name (and labeled ORIGINAL in my screenshot), that has the original deco-pool-separator-MAS package, plus three recolors.
The separate "deco-pool-separator-MAS.rar" unzipped to a solitary, supposedly fixed package file (labeled FIXED in my screenshot).

I will now move the FIXED "separator" package into the ORIGINAL folder, and let it replace the original "separator" package. This is what I did before, and on a Mac there's no danger of letting things overwrite other things with the same name; the system just disappears the original in favor of the replacement, but always asks you first. But just to be SURE sure sure, I'll go ahead and manually delete the original separator package, before moving the fixed one in.

I will then plop the ORIGINAL folder (with its now non-original package) into my Sims 2 Downloads folder. OR... I could throw all the files in there loose, so there's no folders or subfolders to reckon with. Either way, I can pretty much guarantee that this isn't going to solve the issue. But I hope I'm wrong... stay tuned.

PS - as to the size discrepancy - beats me. Those are the sizes that I'm seeing. And, the original and fixed separator packages are identical in size, 130K.

UPDATE -
I looked in Deco>Misc.
I looked in Deco>Scuplture
I looked in Deco>Rugs
I looked in Misc.Build>Pool Items.

It's not there.

Could it be that it's one of those things with a slightly unorthodox mesh size or something, which a Windows game would tolerate no problem, but on a Mac it wouldn't show up at all? I can't see how there even would be a standard size for a custom 3D object, but what do I know?
