Finally her transfer was complete, unfortunately for Dr Sebastien his new patient was someone with family and friends so his 'unique' approach to care had to be ignored and her treatment had to be the norm for the time and practices of a psychiatric facility.
Now she was treated as just another patient by the staff, her hair left loose and the hospital gown she ported was dirty.
Left alone in her small padded cell she felt despair and fear, fear of the unknown. Then late at night not even a week after she had been admitted as a patient she had another hallucination - her last.
***********************************************************
Sleep had almost claimed her when she heard someone moving in the cell with her, not having heard the door open she lifted her head from the floor.
In the shadows was a woman, her hair in braids, wearing the patients hospital gown. Surely just another patient being forced to share her cell.
Then the figure came closer and the odour of bad meat and copper filled Lawson's nostrils. The room seemed to become lighter and she cried out as the woman moved closer. Blood, fresh and deep had pooled around the womans feet.
"He left you here for us. It is time for you to take your place with those who dwell in the walls of this prison." the womans voice sounded wet yet also grating.
Lawson backed away to the wall of the cell, the womans skin was translucent, the veins clearly evident. Another cry flew from her lips, the womans eyes were white yet full of darkness. The woman came closer til she was touching Lawson then she lowered her head so she was staring directly into Lawson's eyes.
Fear filled Lawson and she barely felt the womans cold hands penetrate her gown and tear her still beating heart from her chest....
