Divider Urinal (Updated 1/05/06: Residential version availible)

This is my second object (once again a urinal). This object was my first experience with creating a new recolorable subset. Thanks to IgnorantBliss's tutorial on subsets it was quite simple. Somewhat ironically, I needed to know how to create subsets to fix the recoloring problem in my first creation.

This is a basic Maxis urinal with simple dividers attached (but it does have quite a different appearance/feel in the game than the standard Maxis urinal.) It's only for community lots and costs the same as the original urinal ($400... although price doesn't really matter since you don't pay for community lot items while building.) The default texture is a white urinal with dark blue dividers (pics with Orange Background)

Note: (due to problems I had with my first creation I decided I'd also include this info in this thread.)

1) Recolors do not revert back to default once object is used.
2) Autonomous Use is working so sims can "choose" to use this object.
3) Shooing does not occur when 2 (or more) sims are in the same room.

Recoloring:

Both parts of the object (urinal and dividers) are recolorable. I have provided some addition recolorings in separate downloads. Pick and choose the ones you like/want.

Urinal Recolors:
1) Stippled Ceramic (shown in pics with Red, Light Blue, and Green dividers)
2) Greystone (shown in pics with Black and Orange dividers)

Divider Recolors:
1) Red
2) Light Blue
3) Green
4) Black
5) Orange

Downloading and Installing: Install files in your TS2 "Downloads" folder.


Rules of Usage:

Recoloring: You may recolor either part of this object as long as the following applies:

1) You may NOT place the recolorings on any free/pay or pay site. You may place them on FREE sites. (I would prefer if they were at MTS2 so the mesh and recolorings are on the same site, but I won't limit you to just this site.)

2) You link back to this thread so people can download the Mesh file.

Mesh: Do not redistribute the mesh on any other site. You may however..... (read Lots/houses)

Lots/House: You may use these in Lots/House you upload providing the follow applies:

1) You upload the lot to a FREE site. You may not include this object if you upload the house to a free/pay or pay site.

2) Give me credit somewhere in a read-me file or on the website itself, and link back to this thread.


Tech stuff:

Urinal:
FaceCount = 1240
VertexCount = 1144
(yes, these may seem high but it is the two subsets of Maxis urinal combined into one subset. So if you can use Maxis' urinal in your game, you shouldn't have any problem with this object.)

Dividers:
FaceCount = 36
VertexCount = 24
