Bedroom Set by discordkitty

This is my first upload of a complete set. I've worked very hard on this for the past week and I hope you all like it. I have all expansions and stuff packs but this should work with just the base game. If you find things don't, please let me know.

First of all I'd like to give some thanks. A huge thanks to HystericalParoxysm for helping me along the way, answering my countless questions with infinite patience and giving me tons of tips, tricks and hints - as well as some really helpful links! I'd also like to thank her, Tiggerypum, LyricLee and JulianaRosalia for their constant feedback and advice along the way as I showed them various parts I was working on. Thanks as well to flyingpigeon and various people in #social that gave feedback of the few pics I linked. A special thanks to Lyric for her help in making all the images in the set prettyful! If it wasn't for her, I'd only have plain boring game shots to offer you. She did one heck of an amazing job <3

The wood texture for the floors was done by myself. Textures used on the wallpaper, bedding and part of the dresser were found at the inspiration gallery

Okay, on with the set. Originally I was going for something that was dark and more masculine - like perhaps what you'd see in a royal bedroom a few hundred years ago. However it may have been a bit too dark for some people, so I also did some alternate pieces in lighter shades.

With the exception of the bed and rug, the entire set is retextures and recolours of various maxis objects. The bed is a retexture of an Xmsims bed which you can find in this set: http://www.xmsims.com/sims2/ehtm/ob...m/bedroom04.htm - You can also find other recolours of this bed via my profile. Retextures/colours of maxis objects include:

A dark red recolour of the 4x4 Designer Chandelier
A lightwood and darkwood retexture of the Cornerstone Sentinel endtable
A pale yellow recolour of the Cornerstone Victoriana Curtains
A lightwood and darkwood retexture of the Crazy 8 Table
A lightwood and darkwood retexture of the Dynasty Armoire
A dark red recolour of the Ilistara Lamp
A lightwood and darkwood retexture of the Total Mirror

Also included are a lightwood and darkwood floor set as well as two wallpapers - one with a middle border and one with a top border as well as the rug and bed.

Although it's not really visible on these pictures, you'll see in game that both armoires actually have some texture on the larger red part of the doors.















You have three choices in zip files. One contains all the files for both the dark and the light set, one contains the set with just the light textured objects and the other is the set with just the dark textured objects.

I do not want to see any of this on the exchange. If you want to use them in decorating houses you build, that's fine as long as credit and a link to this page is given. I can't see why anyone would want to recolour my retextures, but that's fine too as long as you give credit/link to this page.
