Alexander Johan Hjalmar Skarsgård (born August 25, 1976, in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish actor and director. He is the son of Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård. As of 2008, he is currently a part of the ensemble cast of HBO's True Blood, a TV series from Six Feet Under creator, Alan Ball. Skarsgård plays the Role of Eric Northman, a 1000 year old Viking vampire, and owner of Fangtasia - the fictional vampire bar in Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse vampire series. He reprised his role for the second season, which began airing June 2009.
