Description
Have you ever wanted clean, contemporary, decent looking stairs which The Sims 3 so happens to lack drastically? Well you're in luck! I've taken it upon myself to create this set of 4 new stairs for the game. It comes equipped with a modified version of the "Fun Fence", the only difference being it doesn't repeat the pole every square, now it only places it at either ends (see the picture)
(12.12.09) PLUS there is a new stair type, Ghost, check it out below!
That's not all! I've also fixed the 'flicker' issue when you zoom out. I wasn't aware of this until others reported it to me, but not to worry, it's all gone now!
(16.12.09) PLUS thanks to Delphy's Blue Lot Object Fixer I've run through all my packages and found that Object Cloner made some incorrect renumber which may have cause some of you the Blue Lot error, please redownload these as they are now fixed and no longer cause this problem
Details
Click the buttons below to see the details about all five stairs and the railings.
Base Stairs
These particular stairs include all the parts of the others, hence why they are the 'base' stairs.
Recolorable Channels: 2
Poly Count:
Faces: 132 Vertices: 343
Backless Stairs
These ones as the name suggests, are backless, they have the classic modern look, honestly, who doesn't like these types of stairs?
Recolorable Channels: 2
Poly Count:
Faces: 78 Vertices: 224
Ramp Stairs
If you can't tell by the picture, the actual steps themselves are resting on a ramp that runs from the ground up making for an interesting look.
Recolorable Channels: 2
Poly Count:
Faces: 88 Vertices: 253
Basic Steps
These are the stairs you want to use if you need two width stairs onto your deck, because quite frankly, the others look a little silly if you use them.
Recolorable Channels: 2
Poly Count:
Faces: 108 Vertices: 273
Fences
Picture
These are almost identical to the ingame "Fun Fence", I've simply removed the way the pole repeats every tile. Because of this fact, the poly count is the same, but for old times sake here it is!
Recolorable Channels: 0
Poly Count:
Faces: 140 Vertices: 125

Bonus Ghost Steps
With the newly updated Alder Stairs to make them all CASTable, I thought it'd be great to add a new set! These are the type that you see in some homes clinging to the wall, looking like they're about to collapse, well, here you go

This is a new mesh, and means that it's a brand new self contained object that usually does not require a specific Pack (although this is possible depending on the type). It may have Recolours hosted on MTS - check below for more information.

Install Instructions
Quick Guide:
1. Click the file listed on the Files tab to download the file to your computer.
2. Extract the zip, rar, or 7z file. Now you will have either a .package or a .sims3pack file.
For Package files:
1. Cut and paste the file into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages folder. If you do not already have this folder, you should read the full guide to Package files first: Sims 3:Installing Package Fileswiki, so you can make sure your game is fully patched and you have the correct Resource.cfg file.
2. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
For Sims3Pack files:
1. Cut and paste it into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder. If you do not have this folder yet, it is recommended that you open the game and then close it again so that this folder will be automatically created. Then you can place the .sims3pack into your Downloads folder.
2. Load the game's Launcher, and click on the Downloads tab. Find the item in the list and tick the box beside it. Then press the Install button below the list.
3. Wait for the installer to load, and it will install the content to the game. You will get a message letting you know when it's done.
4. Run the game, and find your content where the creator said it would be (build mode, buy mode, Create-a-Sim, etc.).
Extracting from RAR, ZIP, or 7z: You will need a special program for this. For Windows, we recommend 7-Zip and for Mac OSX, we recommend Keka. Both are free and safe to use.
